Chapter 10 - Armageddon

"Where the hell were you?"

Dan asked worried and Ella stared back at the blonde who was lying in the bed.
Chloe insisted that the old couple doesn't have to call an ambulance to get her to hospital. But a minute later she collapsed on the floor. Her body was very weak and she was on the verge of drowning if it wasn't for the ocean throwing her at the beach of LA.

"Like I told you Dan, I am fine and I can't tell you now-"
"Are you crazy, girl? The doc said you almost drowned, you were beaten up and you have at least 2 broken limbs. What happened to you, Decker? You were missing for like 3-4 months. Maze dissapeared after you too."
"Look Ella, we had a couple of conversations, and every time I told you, I can't tell you where I was or what was happening. The thing is.. someone is after me, and I do not want you two involved."

Their conversation was paused with the buzz of a phone. Dan got his phone from his pocket and looked at the dialer ID.

"It's Lucifer." Dan huffed.
"Give me the phone." Chloe spoke. Dan gave her the phone and she answered.
"Daniel, could I ask you for a favour and look around LA for Hemingson. I lost track of that bastard, and I need to find the-"
"Lucifer calm down. I am okay."

Chloe spoke, trying to contain her laughter.
"Detective. Where are you? What happened? I got so worried-"
"Lucifer, I am in LA."
"What!?" Lucife yelled on the other side of the phone.
"I got thrown in the ocean and it seems it got me to LA. Like you said Hemingson might have wanted to go to LA."
"Are you okay, love? I swear whoever did this I will kill them. No, I will torture them. It's settled."
"I have a few broken limbs but I am perfectly fine. You don't have to worry-"
"Who was the bastard, Chloe?" Lucifer spoke, now his voice all husky and deep.

She felt his red eyes just from the telephone. She took a deep sigh and rolled her eyes.
"Lucifer, I don't really know, I just want you here, close to me, okay?"
Lucifer's grin could be felt just from the telephone.
"I'll be here in 20 minutes."

He then hung up. She was thinking, how in 20 minutes he can come from the one side of the world, to the other. Then she realized that this person was the literal devil, with wings, so it was easy.

"There will be police outside the room in some mins." Dan whispered.
"There's no need, don't worry."
"In any way, you must be safe Decker. We'll be going now." Ella sighed and hugged her friend before going out alongside Detective Espinoza.
Chloe looked blankly at one dot in the wall. She perfectly knew what Hemingson was capable of, she didn't wanna risk the lives of het daughter, her friends, family, lover. Even though she had celestial power behind her back, she didn't want them hurt because of her problems. She always dealt with problems like that alone. Her thoughts were interrupted by a loud coming in the room.

It was one of Hemingson's personal bodyguards - Wuming. Chloe was ready to scream but Wuming fastly covered her mouth with his hand.
"Young Madam, I am only here to deliver a message from his Highness. Please do not scream or yell, for the sake of your close people."

Chloe slowly nodded and he got his hand away.

"His Highness requested you to come immediately to this address." He handed her a piece of paper. She looked at the address with a confused look. "If you do not come, the first one to be killed will be your daughter, we already have prepared people outside her school, ready to proceed. Do not even dare to ask for help of the others or inform them, Young Madam. Think about it."

Wuming bowed and fastly got outside of the room.
Chloe trembled with fear and with a swift movement she got up and saw a brown coat on the chair, some boots, and a long brown jumper. She fastly changed and without anyone noticing, before the police arriving, she got outside of the hospital.
"I am sorry, Lucifer."

Lucifer was flying through the ocean. He was feeling something was wrong. He was.. afraid, but without a reason. Then he felt a slight ring to his head and the only voice he lives to hear and hopes to hear until the end of his life.
"I am sorry, Lucifer."
What was happening? Why the detective was apologizing. Something was definetly wrong. With a fast movement he started flying more faster towards the near hospital and before entering it, he made sure to hide his wings. When he entered he saw Daniel, Ella and a couple more policeman searching.. He went to Daniel and shook him.

"Daniel, Miss Lopez, what is going on here?" Lucifer asked, anxiety going through his veins.
"We were out just for a moment and some person of Hemingson entered Chloe's room." Daniel huffed.
"What do you mean, douche!? Be concrete."
"Chloe.. dissapeared. On her own." Ella shakily said.
