Saturday!
"Ma! I'm going out with Veronica. I'll be back later." I call out into the house as I'm leaving, not bothering to wait for my mother's response.
I reach the Wyrm after a short walk
"Blondie!" Toni's voice rings over the crowd.
"Toni!" I wave to the pink haired girl behind the bar.
"You'll find FP in the office upstairs. Him and Jug are still working on transitioning him out so Jug can take over." She states as she points to the flight of stairs to the left of the stage and bar.
I take the stairs and come across a military green door labeled 'office'. I knock.
"Yeah!" A deep voice says. I open the door carefully and peek my head into the office. I see FP on the office chair behind the desk and Jug leaning on the desk near his dad.
"Uh, hi, Jughead. Remember me? I'm cher-"
"Cheryl's cousin, yeah. Hi Betty. What's up?"
"Oh I wanted to talk to your dad actually." At that FP looks up and you could hear him take in a sharp breath.
"I'm sorry but I'm not sure I can help you." He shakes his head at me. He obviously knows something. If I could just get him to talk to me.
"Please, Mr. Jones." I plead
"Does your mother know where you are, girl?" He retorts.
"No, but.. "
"Ok. Well. If you excuse me." He goes back to whatever he was doing on the computer. I stand there and after a moment, FP looks up and raises an eyebrow. "Jug, boy, lead our guest home. We will finish this when you return."
Jug gives us both a look that reads 'the hell' but he complies either way. I leave because I have to.
We sigh in unison as we walk down the staircase. Toni looks at me, questions dancing in her brown eyes. I shake my head at her. Jug leads us out of the crowded bar.
"Wanna explain yourself?"
