Being in 8th grade is going to be exciting especially because I have classes with all of my closest friends and I can't wait to see them today. But just as I start day dreaming about the boy I've had a HUGE crush on since 6th grade who happens to be one of my Best Friends my grandmother calls out and says "Mija! Your gonna be late for your first day!".
I rush down stairs in my favorite pair of sweat pants and a school T-Shirt and run to my Grandmother to give her a hug just as she hands me a check for lunch money I grab it and ask her where my father is, she sighs and says " he left for work early so he could be home early tonight". I sigh and wish my grandmother good bye as I run down the street to my best friends house and knock on her door "Cheryl!!!! Cheryl I'm here come out" I yell. "Zoey! Good Morning!" She says to me as she locks arms with me and we run down and around the corner to head to our other friend Brady's house, we greet Brady and start running to school eager to get there and find out friends.
