Thunder clapped over head shaking the sky. Lightning cracked sending shivers down his spine

protecting it from them.

the wind whipped his long red coat that came down to his feet as he bolted into the dense forest. the branches slapped at his face but he didn't stop. The small, fragile child in his arms cried, her tiny fist shaking. He gently stroked her head, whispering soothing words. There were screams in the distance and he slapped his head in that direction.

Time was running out,

Cold rain started to pett down and he wrapped the child into his red long coat, holding her close. they wanted her, but not for the same reason he did, they wanted her, they needed her. But they wouldn't have her.

The screams got louder as he left the kingdom behind. They knew, they knew she was gone. He smirked widely as he bolted through the forest, slapping branches out of his way. The child made a small cooing noise and he gazed down at her perfect face. Her skin was soft and white, reminding him of new fallen snow. Her hair was thin and black just tiny whips in her small head. Her small fingers clenched and unclenched at his face her fetchers scrunching up.

But it wasn't any of these traits that made her stand out from the rest. No, it was her eyes. Her bright yellowish eyes that stared up at him with understanding, although her small age, she seemed to understand the gravilty of the situation. Tearing his eyes from her captivating gaze he pressed on.

The rain pelted him, making his hair stick to his face. The thunder roared and the lighting flashed making him worry.

" Where's the city" ? " where's the city full of mortal's "

He looked back, he shook his head and dismissed the thought. there was no turning back now.

He jumped over a fallen log and there it was a city as bright as the stars in a night sky. He smiled and sped up. It was time he said in a low tone. As he approached  a small neighborhood the smell hit him and he had to bite his tongue to control himself.

He approached a small white house front porch and laid the small baby on the floor. The baby gazed at him, he reached the hoodie of his coat and set it on his head than he reached inside the pocket of the red robe and took out a red crystal heart pendant necklace with a silver chain. He placed it on the baby, it had been so big on her little body.

He picked her up one more time and he placed his wet lips on her little forehead he kissed her goodbye and placed her back on the ground wrapped in a red baby blanket. And knocked on the door and then disappeared.
