Animotophobia encompasses the fear of any emotions, both pleasant and unpleasant.
Sufferers may dread when having or showing emotions and may have anxiety attacks when having strong emotions.
They would try to avoid events that would readily result in emotions by doing activities that are neither rewarding nor costly.
Animotophobic symptoms vary by individual and includes rapid heartbeat, nausea, trembling, loss of control, loss of sense of reality, and excessive thoughts.
