Ok fam bam, like I said...I usually don't do authors notes at the beginning and due to my phone being the oldest model capable of being on here, I can't use bold or italic fonts, but I'll make this work till I can edit it later. Special thanks to @Thanikies , @Shiver_Mi_Tings , and @CurlyHairedBraceFace for their votes on the chapters, I know I have alot of editing to do later since my trusted sidekick gave up on me lol but thank you for voting and giving my writing a read. I truly appreciate it. Hope you guys like this chapter too 😊

I'd be lying if I said I was surprised. I truly wasn't. Too many people know where the house is and the air wall so it was only a matter of time before someone tried to break it down.

But I was angry. I was angry beyond belief. They interrupted my breakfast and are trying to force their way into my home, two of the ten things I detest. I felt my power respond to my anger, but I wasn't strong enough to summon my full armour. So I summoned what I could and made sure to only summon important parts. Breastplate,  vambrace and greaves. I also conjured an ice bow with its quiver of frozen arrows.

As water mages, most of us are limited to one form of it. Ice, regular water, steam, healing etc. But as an Elemental, I was given the ability to control all forms of it. I usually favour using plain water because it's what the majority uses, to show troops although I was royalty, I was a water mage and was therefore one of them. I never showed off my control of other natures, as we call it, apart from when it was needed in battle.

I looked at the women dressed in goth fashion standing outside the shield and and aimed at the one who was displaying the most power. I took an arrow out of its quiver and  nocked it. I decided to go for a half draw, calculating the speed and how the wall will recognize it as defense therefore shooting it with more force at the enemy. I aimed a few inches away from their feet and shot it. It landed exactly where it was supposed to and she jumped back in surprise. The other ladies gasped as they stared at it.

A warning shot.

I spoke but the air wall multiplied it so that it had the same effect as a bullhorn. I loved it's multiple uses and made a mental note to thank Nia when I went back.

"Witches of earth, why do you trespass and attack?"

The one I shot at stepped up, visibly nervous and slightly arrogant. "Our mistress and charged us with bringing down this barrier. These lands are under her protection and she does not tolerate other witches in it. Our circle is here to remove all traces of foreign magic in her name."

I was really mad now. This land is owned and protected yet these bats thought that they could just waltz here and tear it down without retaliation. They thought wrong.

"Come peacefully and our mistress will be kind to you. Rebel and we will deliver you to her as a prisoner where you will be stripped of your magic and wand."

They thought I was a witch. Witches were given their wands at the time they could feel and react to the magic in them, the wands channelled their power and reinforced their spell casting. Since it was something taught to them, it was easily taken away. Their magic was called surface magic, never truly theirs, but it sticks to them like fly paper.

"I think you have the wrong idea. I was born with my magic and you will never obtain it even after my death." They all paled and gasped. It was unheard of on earth since mages never left Alaktasia.

"What are you? A wolf? A vampire? Only they are born with deep magic." She spoke again, clearly shaken yet her voice raised an octave higher. I didn't have to read their aura to know that she was scared. Her pale blond hair and dark clothes complimented each other but her face lost all color, visibly aging her.

"You'll soon see." I laughed out. My pent up anger was turning into bloodlust. The alpha beside me had discarded his clothes and was ready to shift. I gave him a smile as I melted the bow and quiver to for twin blades. With a war cry, I ran out to meet the witches who disturbed my morning.

Being an empath had its perks, one of it was being able to affect people's moods and emotions. It might be playing dirty, but they won't have pity from me. I sent out waves of anxiety and confusion to the intruders causing them to panic and run around. The younger ones were obviously scared and running around like chickens with their heads cut off but the older ones, they managed to regain their confidence seeing only me and Nox. They thought we were going to be easy to take down.

Not today, Wiatch.

Both of my blades were now extensions of my body, they were both for defence and offense. Deflecting spells that the witches were dishing out. Their spell casting often required magic circles, speaking in an ancient tongue and wands to direct the flow of magic. 20 in total, 7 older and 13 younger ones. All managed to get a grip and form their magic circles and with their chanting, streams and balls of magic flew at me and my mate. He dodged them in wolf form with the grace of a faery as his paws thundered. He let out a bone chilling howl that I'm pretty sure Chad's pack could hear.

I raced towards them. Deflecting their magic as I went, and even managing to return a few. This wasn't my first fight with witches and the ones I fought were far superior to these, but they had numbers on their side and I was never one to underestimate the enemy.
