Rory mostly spent the day baking, not feeling the need to do anything of importance. Elijah was officially out of the picture for now, lying desiccated and dead in the Salvatore basement. Whether Rory approved of Damon keeping him there or not, she didn't think the older vampire really gave a damn. Rory still wasn't in the right mindset to be arguing with a 100-year-old immature baby by the name of Damon Salvatore, so she simply let him be. As long as Elijah wasn't hurt in the process (more than he already was, anyway) Rory couldn't really complain.

Bonnie and Caroline were sat at the counter, reiterating the stories from today—apparently, Caroline had showcased her singing ability at the Grill earlier in an attempt to win back Matt. It had worked, and now they were back together. However, that completely went south when an accident happened and Caroline was forced to vamp out and heal him, and now he knows she's a vampire.

"I can't believe you spent the whole day just making brownies," Bonnie complained as Rory set the steaming batch of sweet treats on the table, still hot from the oven. "We miss hanging out with you, Rory."

"Sorry, Bon. I just wasn't up for it today," Rory gave her a friend an apologetic glance. She really wasn't lying—talking to people and being around others was a genuinely exhausting thought to her. Not to mention she was still recuperating from the fact that she murdered someone, and Elijah was no longer in the playing field. "Besides, you guys got it all under control without me."

"Well, I wish you at least told us you were making chocolate cake. You know we love your chocolate cake," Caroline pouted, dipping her finger into the bowl of icing.

"You were too busy getting your man back," Rory gave her a pointed glance as she placed the used baking spatula in the sink. "Besides, it's boring hanging out with me when I'm like this. I'm a total baby," Rory continued to talk as she bent over to grab a plate. "When I say all I did was bake today, I meant it."

"Yes, she did," Jenna stated as she descended from the staircase. Her hair was tossed into a bun, lowering her head to give her niece a kiss on the cheek. "You're cleaning up, by the way—finish what you started."

"'Kay, Aunt Jenna," Rory responded as she started to cut the brownies up into squares. "Bon, Care, stop eating all the icing," Rory scolded as she snatched the bowl from the two girls. "How am I supposed to decorate my cake when you're hogging everything?"

Bonnie pouted. "It's too good,"

"Well, stop," Rory booped her nose as Jenna left the kitchen, swiping a brownie from the plate before she left.

Bonnie paused for a second, fidgeting in her seat. There was a non-verbal conversation between Bonnie and Caroline, unbeknownst to Rory, before Bonnie finally opened her mouth to talk. "Hey, um, Rory..." Bonnie trailed off. "I was just wondering if it was okay with you if I dated your brother?"
