THE JET LANDED RIGHT AS THE SUN WAS BEGINNING TO RISE. THEY LANDED ON A LARGE FIELD OF GRASS THAT stretched for miles. In the middle of the field was a small house, adjacent to a smaller shed. There were trees surrounding the entire area.

Clint held Nat as they walked up toward the house, and the rest of the gang followed in confusion. Tony squeezed Alex's shoulder, who just nodded.

"I was thinking; I need to name myself." She spoke.

"Better get working on it," Tony said.

"It'll come to you." Steve added.

"What is this place?" Thor asked.

"Safe house," Tony shrugged.

"Let's hope," Clint opened the front door. "Honey? I'm home,"

Alex's eyes widened as a woman--a very pregnant woman--came out of another room. She had long brown hair, and a worried look on her face.

"Hi, sorry about the company, didn't call ahead," Clint kissed the woman. "Gentlemen and Alex, this is Laura."

"I know all of your names," She smiled, then looked at Alex.. "Except for yours, but I've heard a lot about you,"

"See?" Alex rose her eyebrows. Tony just rolled his eyes.

Then, they heard the patter of small footsteps. Two children--a small girl and an older boy-- came running into their dad's arms. Steve and Alex looked at each other, exchanging the same expression.

"Sorry for barging in on you," Steve spoke up.

"Yeah, we would've called ahead but we were too busy having no idea you existed."

Clint laughed, explaining how he had Fury set up a safe house for his family to grow. Thor stepped on a set of Legos, and Alex looked at him expectantly. He shook his head, pushing the Legos under a chair with his foot. The small girl looked up at Thor, who wavered, but then walked outside without a word.

Alex followed him, however. "Thor?"

He looked at her. "I saw something in that dream. I need answers, and I won't find them here."

He swung his hammer, and shot up into the sky. Alex sighed, turning back to enter the house.

"I've grown hopeless without you,"

The words from her vision echoed in her head. Steve stopped when he saw her standing blank-faced in the doorway, and walked over to her.

"You okay?"

"Yeah."

They walked down into the yard. Steve began to chop some firewood at Clint's request, while Alex just watched. She said nothing when Tony joined him, not even when they began to exchange some harsh words.
