Chaos was running all around the battlefield as Supergirl and Superman battled Anti-Monitor while the other heroes defended them from the shadow demons.
"Barry, hurry up," Nash's voice came through his ear com and he nodded and landing a punch on a nearby shadow, successfully destroying it, he ran to Star Labs where the non powered people were residing and building to stop Anti-Monitor.
"Yes?" Barry asked as he saw Nash, Cisco and Ryan gathered around a table with broken equipment.
Cisco sighed, "We can't-" He didn't get to finish as Barry tapped into Speed Force and built the bomb and asked, "Like this?"
He was about to press a button but the remaining three screamed, "NO!!!"
"Alright," Barry said in defence and nodded at Cisco and ran back to the battlefield. Cisco had a horrible feeling in his gut but he pushed it aside and glared at Nash who seemed to be feeling proud of his work.
Barry reached the battlefield and passed the bomb to Superman who caught it and flew right towards Anti-Monitor. Ray followed him and just as Anti-Monitor swatted Superman aside, Superman threw the bomb towards Ray who caught it and taking advantage of Anti-Monitor's distraction, pressed the button and attached the bomb to Anti-Monitor's body.
"Ta-ta," he waved as Anti-Monitor groaned as he began growing smaller and smaller till nobody could see him.
Barry smiled as the shadows dispersed in thin air and hugged Sara. The remaining heroes hugged each other, Oliver's death hitting everyone hard but still grateful to have each other. Only Superman seemed to be the one not joining in, something which did not go unnoticed by Barry who excused himself from the hugs and joined Clark and asked, "Where's Kara?"
Clark stiffened before releasing a breath and pointed at the rubble of gravel and road in a side, making Barry freeze in shock and run towards the direction, orange lightning trailing behind him.
"No, no, no, Kara?" Barry muttered as he began picking up rocks and gravel and noticed Kara's limp hand with a ring on it and pulled on it, making the Kryptonian fly out and fall on Barry and he crashed to the ground.
For a second, Barry was happy. Till he realised that the body on him was not moving and he hurriedly got up and saw Kara's limp body with green glow emanating from her.
"It was Lex. He had given Anti-Monitor a bomb to get rid of me but Kara took the radiation, killing her and saving me," Clark said as he hovered above Barry, tears coming from his eyes. Barry took off his cowl, tears free flowing from his eyes. First Oliver and now Kara, his wife? LEx was gonna pay.
Wiping off the tears, he put his cowl and again and handed Kara's body to Clark as the others gathered around them, to mourn for the fallen hero. Sara noticed Barry's expression and grew worried as she asked, "What are you going to do Barry?"
"Something to avenge her," Barry said and he sprinted out, releasing a sonic boom in a few seconds as he reached LexCorp, and ran into the office and grabbed Lex Luthor and hoisted him up by his collar of his suit and said, "You killed her!!!"
"Oh my plan worked? Seems like a first time," Lex answered with pride and arrogance and Barry growled and punched Lex on his face, then ran around the frozen Lex and punched him on his back, then his gut, his chest, his face, wherever he could. He stopped and watched as Lex fell to the ground and bleed as he groaned and laughed.
Barry picked him up and threw him at a wall, "I will kill you!!!" Lex let out a shout as his back crashed into the wall, making cracks appear on the white wall, "No you wont Flash. Supergirl wouldn't have wanted you to kill me."
Flash growled and punched him again and again till he resembled nothing like the famous Lex Luthor and as he was about to land the final punch that would end Lex once and for all, a palm stopped him.
Clark stood there, looking in disgust at Lex's body and said, "You have done enough Flash. I will deal with Lex."
"No, he killed my wife. You cannot expect me to let him go?" Barry exclaimed as tears erupted from his eyes. Clark sighed and said, "And he killed my cousin. Go mourn for her. I will deal with this waste of a human."
Barry nodded and ran out to the Star Labs Hangar where he was going to show the gift to everyone but now, it felt useless and unwanted. As he ran there, he saw Oliver's suit hanging there with a fire burning in front of it. He bowed his head and saw Kara's suit next to Oliver's and a coffin in front of her suit. He walked to her coffin and opened and saw Kara's peaceful face without any glow or anything, just lying there without any worries or wrinkles. Just perfect facial features like that of a goddess.
Sara laid an arm on his shoulder and Barry put his hand on hers and cried silently and Sara embraced him, both crying for their loved ones. Kara's ring was still on her finger and Barry couldn't help the smile as he noticed the words he had asked Cisco to write, 'My Supergirl'.
His fingers trailed automatically to his ring and he read what was written on it, 'SuperCouple'. He let out a chuckle as he sat next to the coffin and reminisced his past memories with her, their first date, their first dance, their first kiss, everything.
Clark arrived to the hangar and all the heroes who had been watching Barry and had been mourning the lost heroes, turned to him and he nodded at them and they walked to the fallen heroes and their altars. Sara led Barry to the heroes and they bowed their heads before the fallen heroes, showing their respect.
"She was the best at what she did. She had hope for people when even I didn't. She was hopeful and now it makes sense why she was the Paragon of Hope. Its because she was hopeful for the future," Clark said before stepping back.
Everyone looked at Barry who seemed to be oblivious but he still stepped forward, "Kara, she was my wife. She still is and will always be. She was the light of this world. She was an alien and that made her even more lovable. When she smiled, it was like the entire world stopped. When she cried, it was hurtful for others around her. She showed that even someone who wasn't from this planet was capable of loving someone. She will always be missed but nobody will even come closer to how much I'll miss her. Wherever I will go, I will only see her, her smile, her cute talks, everything. But she is in a much better place. This world doesn't deserve her." Everyone had tears, even Kate who seemed to be trying to hide hers. Sara stepped behind Barry and pulled him back.
"She must have been one good hero," Jefferson said.
"The best," Barry answered as he fiddled with his ring.
'SuperCouple'
A/N: That was hard to write. Trying to keep it to something that only CW would make was hard. I couldn't make Barry completely emotional but I couldn't make him completely stone hearted. Anyways, this took me 2 hours so I am sorry if it is bad.
