  She awoke to to darkness, and cold metal handcuffs wrapped around her wrists. Slowly becoming coherent due let out a soft call for her mother. There was no answer. On our emptiness.
  Soon, she realized there were more spoke there. Children her age. Though the sight of other people made a small tingle of joy run through her body, she wasn't in the mood to talk, yet alone to a stranger.
  "Agh, I don't even know what's on my phone." She hissed, frustrated.
  She felt a presence by her side and noticed a boy, mist definitely her age. "Hi." He said, showing himself, "I'm Alex." He added. The only response the girl gave was a soft "Hey.".
  Not giving up, the boy got closer. The girl, eyeing hold son finally cracked.

That's all I'm going to do. I don't plan on doing full books or chapters, just excerpts.
