Once Wynter returned inside, the whole room's eyes were on her; the chatter had silenced and filled the bar with an awkward and overbearing vibe. Wynter placed her hand on her face, letting out a sigh from all the stress that suddenly became unbearable. Bill kept his undead eyes on her like a pang of hunger for something that had caught his interest. A few moments later, Sookie returned inside as well. Sookie glanced at Bill, giving him a gentle smile for which he returned a smile. Suddenly the bar was lively again, and everyone began to chat away. The whole place quickly became louder. Wynter continued into the night with her customers while trying to ignore Bill staring her down. Sookie also continued to work as well.
Later into the night, Jason called out to Sookie. She approached where he was sitting at the bar. "Are you and Wynter fighting?" he questioned curiously. "I guess. She seems upset that I'm talking to that vampire." Sookie looked around her surroundings while she responded. Tara sneakily began to listen in on their conversation this time while preparing mixed drinks for customers. "Well, I can agree on this one with Wynter, Sook. He seems to be a danger to our society. We don't know who he is or why he's here. I mean, look, he's staring at Wynter, watching her every move. It's like he's examining her." Sookie's eyes drifted to Bill, her face morphing into a disappointed expression, hoping she would be able to spend more time with him, but it seems that his attention is locked on Wynter. Bill's eyes followed Wynter like a hawk watching its prey. Arlene didn't take her eyes off him since he made her uncomfortable because he was staring at Wynter. Besides that, Wynter ignored the vampire's intense stare and continued wandering around the restaurant, attending to tables full of customers.
Once Sookie approached Bill, his stare then focused on her. However, this time it was gentle. Smiling up at her, his position changed to sitting upright like a gentleman. "Am I distracting you?" His voice filled with curiosity. "Yeah, you are." Sookie sat down beside him. This caused Sam to feel impatient with her behavior; she was still on shift after all. "You're staring at Wynter in a very uncomfortable way." Sookie's tone was suddenly stern. "I apologize." He paused, "It's just... I seem to know her, and I feel like I should get to know her." His gaze quickly switched back to Wynter, watching her pace back and forth. Sookie gulped, feeling nervous for Wynter; she thought that he might have wanted her blood or something. "I think she's off-limits. She doesn't like vampires because of her dad's disappearance." She folded her hands together on top of the table, sitting comfortably with him but still feeling uneasy about what Bill was saying and doing. "If Wynter seems to catch your interest so much, why not ask her out." Sookie's face quickly began to develop a jealous expression. She wanted him, not Wynter. She hates vampires, and Sookie is the one giving Bill a chance.
Jason threw his arm out to stop Wynter from walking in another direction, "Hey, are you okay?"
She held a tray full of food on the one hand positioned over her shoulder. "Yeah, why?" It was a quick answer, plus she didn't smile, but she was calm. "That guy is staring at you nonstop, and I just want you to know that I'm not going to let anything happen to ya." He ran his fingers up and down against her arm, hoping to ease her emotions. Wynter just smiled and kissed his cheek before walking away to attend the tables she was supposed to. Jason smiled wide, leaning back on the stool. Tara kept her eyes on Sookie and Bill.
Sam quickly started to get pissed and approached Sookie, angered that Wynter is doing everything else with no help. "I think I remember that you were working. You are making Wynter do your job and hers." Sam nearly barked at her. He was pissed. "I'm sorry, Sam. I'll get to it." She waited for Sam to leave the table so she could ask Bill something.
"Are you busy later tonight?" Bill glanced at Sookie with a mischievous smirk, "Why?" His accent was southern just as everyone else's in Bon Temps, except for Lafayette, Wynter, and Sam. "Were you doing something tonight; I want to know what you're like, get to know you?" Bill gave her a quick smile as he glanced around the place, "I'll think about it."
