Hey Guys! It's been a while. Sorry I'm MIA everywhere (here, social media and Youtube). I've been really busy, and an emotional mess right now. BUT I am working on videos when I have time, and today while listening to Invisible Chains by the one and only Lauren Jauregui and Easy by Camila Cabello for probably the hundredth and thousandth time (I know they're both complete anti-thesis of each other), I was inspired to re-write this old poem of mine.
Hope ya'll like it.
It's easy to break a heart.
Especially when it has set itself on loving you
It's like a tiny puppet trapped in ropes
Laying helplessly unless you pull on it strings.
And you just love to draw too hard til it breaks.
It's relatively easy to break a heart.
Especially when it sees only the best in you
You're the cream de la cream, the cherry on top.
It'll never be complete without you.
Cos it has decided You are the only one that feels right.
Unbearable, but really easy to break a heart.
Especially when it has waited foolishly for you
It's like waiting for a bus that will never come in the middle of a hail storm.
Standing there freezing.. stinging... sick.. just taking the beating
But still it chooses to stay because it wants only you.
It's definitely easy to break a heart.
Especially when it has faith in you, cos you're real.
It's like an innocent child believing in Santa or the Tooth-fairy.
It wakes up to socks full of candies and, the gifts you shower when you decide you love it too.
But eventually, it grows up and learns Santa and that blind faith in you is just make-believe.
It's VERY easy to break a heart.
Especially when it has learned to love you unconditionally.
It's like blinking. You don't have to think about it, it has no way of protecting itself.
Unsuspecting of the onslaught, disappointments, the hissing sounds
But it's skin gets thicker after every slaughter. Until it gets cold, and it all gets old.
Yes, it's easy to break a heart.
But not when it has had enough.
It's like waking up from a nightmare, relieved it's all over.
It has battle scars etched from where your invisible chains used to hold
Sometimes, it still feels your death grip, but it knows it's safe. She's free.
PS: I really love this rendition of EASY. I'm leaving this here cos it's the HOPE after the storm.
