Avoiding Dean like he was the plague was an understatement. Ever since he told Kelliana the real reason behind their breakup, her whole world had flipped upside down and she was afraid to admit that she was drowning in her own problems.

She tries her best to flee from the moment she sees him at school and although they're in the same English class, she chooses to sit at the front so that she can be the first one to be out of there. She would see him in the corner of her eye about to approach her but she would scurry away as if she hadn't seen him.

Even his heated gaze burning at the back of her head in English Lit this morning was enough to make her fidgety and even excuse herself to go to the bathroom at one point. It was driving her crazy.

Why did things have to be this way? Something Kelliana had been questioning from day one. But at the same time, isn't this what she wanted? She could remember clearly, the day he broke up with her that brought her so much distress and the spoken promises of her vowing to get him back.

But then the vivid flashbacks to her one-sided efforts and the intentional pain that he brought to her that damaged her reputation and being, were definitely what was stopping her from giving in so easily.

She didn't want to be that girl to give in so easily. She had pride and although she wants him back, it's going to take a lot more than one call in the night to return back to the way things were.

Plus all the posts on the gossip page about her and Uriah being the new IT couple in Hallbridge High and so many people pitting Uriah and Dean against each other in who was worthy to be by her side.

Imagine what they will say when she returns back to Dean.

Speaking of Uriah, the boy hadn't shown up to school in more than 2 weeks. She was worried because he hadn't been returning her texts or calls. She contemplated on going over to his house multiple times but she didn't want to be seen as some clingy, paranoid girl who can't mind her own business.

Uriah was always that lonely, mysterious bad boy. So she might as well leave him to his business. But now with Dean all up in hers and prom coming in a month, she had a lot on her plate to deal with right now.

Kelliana had just finished her meeting during lunch and she exits out of the room with one of the senior girls, Onda, who was also on the student representative team. She notices Jaz waiting outside for her, holding a container of her favorite salad and her starbucks drink.

"Hi Kelliana, I got your lunch!", Jaz gleams at Kelliana who gives her a sloppy grin as she grabs the lunch that was being handed to her. Onda continues to walk with Kelliana with Jaz trailing behind her as they talk about who they should elect as the nominees for the head of the student council for next year.

Talking about schoolwork was definitely a great distraction from her social love life.

They approach the locker area, caught up in their conversation until Kelliana spots Farren and Petal who were in her calculus class whispering in a deep conversation until they met her gaze and immediately straightening their posture.

Weird, Kelliana thinks to herself but she doesn't pay any attention to it, just nodding at them in a friendly greeting until Petal jumps in her path, making her group halt and glance at the girl blocking their way in confusion.
