Chapter 1
I am in a room that is empty but, I don’t remember how I got here. There are metal walls surrounding the room and just a light in the far corner that is flickering on and off. I make an attempt to stand yet; my feet have no part in it. I’m trying my best to move my legs but they just won’t. Why not? There is a screeching sound and I raise my hands, which are the only thing my body allows to move, to my ears. I see the metal wall move and open and a lady walks in.
“Sorry about that”, she smiles she doesn’t seem sorry at all, she seems pleased to see me this way. Her dark black hair falls to her face her eyes are green and her skin white. She has a rough voice that sounds as if she wants to kill me with it, but I feel bad that she can’t, it looks as if she actually believes she can.
“What am I doing here”, my throat is tight and my voice is only a squeak I can’t talk, barley move and all she does is smile.
“Is there something you’d like to say?” she asks with a smile on her face showing the enjoyment. I nod. “Well then let’s see if you can talk go ahead and try.” I try to push out a few words which don’t seem to want to work. My mouth opens and nothing comes out. Well, that’s lovely.
“Why are you here? Oh, great question you are here because oh, wait you haven’t told me why?” Well, now I know that question seems to anger her. I see a purple vain pop out on her forehead and smile... Now that is funny.
“You think this funny… you think this is all just a big joke… well it’s not,” as she says this she lifts her hand to smack me, but yet somehow my hand seems to move quicker than hers. I cover my face with one hand and grab her wrist with the other. I twist her wrist without thinking and push, not with much force, yet, a lot of force because she lands on the other side of the room hitting her head on the metal wall.
“Oops,” I choke, hey, my voice works but, hurts.
“I’m going-,” the metal door opens and in comes a guy with brown hair and blue eyes.
“You’re not going to do anything,” he says with a low deep voice. The woman lifts her hand and feels the back of her head. As, she pulls her hand away I get a glimpse of something red on her hand.
“Go get that looked at then you can come back”, remarks the man to the woman.
“So... you want to talk or just stay in here? It’s your choice to be honest.”
“Depends,” my voice is a croak and my throat hurts as I speak the word but I have to talk to get out of here.
“What does that mean,” he questions with the same firm and sturdy voice.
“Okay, basically I’m saying if I talk what do I get in return.”
“Well, I don’t think I have anything you want, now do I?”
“Actually, you do,” I want what any other person in a metal room would want.
“What is that?”
“Freedom,” I say my throat stinging but, the good thing is it came out firm and perfectly normal.
He stays quiet and I get inpatient either it’s a yes or no.
“If it’s a no then tell me so I can go putting away all the answers to your questions,” I say acting as if this where a game.
“Is this a game to you? Are you trying to pull off some trick?” he questions eagerly.
“I also have the answers to those questions... If you want them you can have them but you have to promise me my freedom.”
“I promise.”
