My eyes flutter open, the light from the day shines into the room. I glance around and remember that I'm in Nik's room. I realize that my head was laying on Nik's bare chest. I lean to move up and see Nik, awake, with a smile on his face.

"Good morning love." Nik says, brushing my hair out of my face and tucked behind my ear after I sat up.

"Good Morning." I reply, realising that I was wearing one of Nik's shirts, I don't recall putting on.

"How are you feeling?" he asks me, as he kisses the side of my head.

I smile and lean over to kiss his cheek but he moves so I kiss his lips. We pull away slowly, "I'm fine, thank you." I let him know, out faces still very close to each other.

"You are beautiful." Nik whispers, I smile softly, and lean in to kiss him again.

I pull away all to soon, "You flatter me to much." I respond, a smile on my face.

He chuckles, "Well you deserve it Clara. " he tells me as he gets up from the bed.

I only give him a smirk as a response, as I stare at him, he grabs one of his shirts. He turns around before putting the shirt on and sees that I'm staring. "You like what you see love?" he jokingly asks as a smirk forms on his face.

The memory of our trip to Italy flashes in my mind. "Very much." I respond much more confidant then our time in Italy.

-----------------------

I'm helping Caroline clean the Salvatore house, due to her and Elena, throwing some random party, and Elena bailed on cleaning. Each of us had a trash bag and we walked around, picking up empty or half full cups of beer. I don't get why the Salvatores don't just hire someone to clean so that Caroline stops cleaning and dragging me with her.

Every once and awhile I'd see Caroline take a drink from the left over cups. "Ew. Caroline, really?" I say to her. She only glances at me with a shrug, continuing on with the cleaning.

"Desperate times, I take it?" Nik's voice fills the home. I look over to see him entering the room.

Caroline doesn't even look in his direction, "What are you doing here?" she questions, continuing on with her drink and tosses it into the bag, continuing on with the cleaning.

Nik looks at me in smudment before looking  back to her. "Not judging you, for starters, although if you are determined to get drunk, then perhaps I might recommend something a little more sanitary?" Nik tells her.

Caroline looks at him, and then takes another drink of the left over alcohol, not blinking like she was proving a point, before throwing the cup away.

"You showed him." I comment to her, with a grimace, still finding it gross that she was doing that.

She rolled her eyes and turns back around, continuing to clean. "Shouldn't you be out chasing Tyler to the ends of the earth? Or are there still some hopes and dreams you wanna crush around here?" Caroline sarcastically says to Nik, obviously still hurt and annoyed with his decisions.

"Depends. Do you happen to know where the young Brutus is?" Nik questions, trying to be both joking and serious.

"You know where he's not- with me. And he gave Matt the deed to the house, so he's gone for good." Caroline sasses him.

Nik nods and walks more into the room. "Tyler made it his life's mission to kill me. You can't blame me for driving him away." Nik explains to her.

Caroline turns back around to look at him, still seeming annoyed. "Oh I can, and I do. Now if you don't mind, I'd like to get back to spiraling, so go away." she tells him.
