TRIGGER WARNING: SELF HARM
Brian walked through the front door. The warmth hitting him like a hurricane after wandering in the cold outside for hours on end. The night was as black as the mask hiding his face. As he slowly peeled it off the temperature seemed to drop 20° on his face. His sandy brown curls falling over his dramaticly dark eyes.
"Hey Tim, I'm back!" Brian called in his same happy-go-lucky tone he always had.
He cocked his head to the side at the silence he got in response.
"Tim?" He called out through the empty house.
'Were is he'? Brian thought to himself. As he walked down the long darkened hallway he thought about were his friend may be. Tim and Brian have been best friends since college. Brian would always defend Tim against bullies, and Tim in return helped him with schoolwork. They were almost inseparable. Up until the day Brian woke up on the cold forest ground with the past almost four years wiped from his memory. He remembers only the sound of static and a voice sobbing his name. Tim never explained what happened and Brian could tell he was better off not knowing.
Just up ahead Brian could see a light coming from the slightly ajar bathroom door. As Brian slowly approached he could hear shuffling coming from inside. Then almost as if by magic the door flew open and a very startled looking Tim stumbled out.
"Hey Brian! I didn't hear you come in." He prattled suspiciously quick."Yeah I was looking for..." He froze mid sentence in horror at the sight of blood splatters on the bathroom sink.
'No, Tim wouldn't... Would he?' Brian thought to himself. Brian looked down to Tim's hands to see that they were both behind Tim's back.
"Let me see your wrists." Brian demand in a harsher tone than he meant. Tim stood there, paralyzed with fear, Heart pounding ready to explode, trying to choke out a response.
"Let me see your wrists." Brian repeated his tone softend a bit. "Please." Brian pleaded his tone softer. Tim finally gave in and placed his left hand in Brian's. Brian slowly turned over Tim's hand and pulled up the sleeve. His fear had come true.
