I knew that there was more that Phoenix wasn't telling me, and I didn't care. I loved him more than anything and I was beyond determined to help him fix this mess. We crawled into bed and I buried my head in his chest as he pulled me close to him. His fingers made their way into my hair, and he fell asleep within minutes. I closed my eyes and tried to rest. After laying there for what felt like an eternity, unable to sleep, I gently moved away from him to avoid waking him up. I slipped out of bed and made my way to the kitchen. It was 3:44 in the morning. My mind was racing and I knew I had things to take care of. I needed answers that I knew Phoenix couldn't give me. He needed to rest, rather than set my curious mind to rest.
