I opened my eyes and finished my coffee. It was 4:26 in the morning. Wouldn't David just love a visit at this hour? I crept back upstairs and grabbed my small gun safe. I didn't want to wake Phoenix up by unlocking it. If he woke up he'd stop me without thinking twice about it.I went back downstairs, grabbed my keys and practically sped to David's house a few blocks away. I parked in front of the house and unlocked my gun safe. I made sure the safety was still on before I slid it into my pants calmly. I turned my car off and walked to the front door, ringing the bell a few times. After a string of curse words, the door opened.
"Raven? What are you doing here?"
"We need to talk David and you know it."
David stepped aside and let me in the house. As he was about to turn around , I pressed the gun against his back. His froze and pure panic washed over him.
