"Hey...... Terra?" Shin spoke to Terra over the phone.

Terra was walking about the village, chatting with Kouya and Shun while Shin decided to stay home in their bedroom, because Shin 'wanted to read his book'. In reality, that wasn't the case. It was pretty clear to Terra before leaving that something was bothering the feline... it was Valentine's day after all, why'd he wish to be alone?

His heart seemed to be beating heavily, his breaths a tad strained and a nervous fidget about him. But what's the anxiety for? It was still notable in Shin's over-phone voice.

"Yes, Shin?" Terra's voice was leaning confused and concerned.

"I... I uhm.... I-I need to talk. Can you like... uhm, wrap up with whatever you're doing and come to our room...?"

Terra responded with a simple yes, and an audible sigh of..  relief, maybe, was heard from Shin. Quickly he said 'thanks', and ended the call.

------------------------------------------

Shin paced around his room anxiously, ears flicking and tail swishing, curling, and flailing alongside his emotions. Before he could spend more time in heart-strained wait, a knock sounded upon the bedroom door. Shin froze up like he was infront of headlights.

"Uhhh.... hello, Shin?" Terra questioned.

Shin snapped out of his hypnotic shock and fumbled a reply.

"Y-Yeah! I'm here, c-come on in...!" Shin croaked.

As the door opened, the feline swiftly lunged to the bed and sat on it, trying to get in a position within the few microseconds Terra still wasnt fully in the room to look like he was sitting there the entire indeffinite time. His earls were finnicky and his face was burnt red, but he was generally not a wreck.

"So, what is it Shin?" Terra inoffensively asked, warmly smiling.

"There's uhm.... something I... I'd like to ask you." Shin took a deep breath, and revealed a bouquet of flowers from behind his back.

"Will you-"
"Yes."

Terra smugly interrupted as Shin popped the question.

"You didn't let me finish..." Shin sighed, flustered.

"Were you gonna ask me to marry you or those plant flowers in the garden?" Terra questioned, sitting down beside Shin on the bed.

"....to marry you. Cliché, huh?" Shin playfully answered, destressed by Terra's casuality.

"Heheh.... yep. It's kind of cute, to be honest. It's nice to see you flustered.~"

"You jerk!" Shin playfully accused, punching Terra in the gut softly.

The felines had a back-and-forth of teasing and playfighting, fur fighting fur as cheeks grew redder ans redder. It ultimately ended with the both of them on their backs, taking a reprise. Terra turned to Shin.

"But like.... yes. I wanna get married. N-Not like, tommorow, we can't rush it. But, we're like, engaged now, right?"

"Correct, soon-to-be Mr. Kuroi."

"Oh shut up! How 'bout we use fianceé, it's a fancy french word. I might as well be fluent in French" Terra chuckled.

"You know 'fianceé' might as well be an international word, right?" Shin smugly questioned.

"Duh..." Terra said, letting out a yawn.

Terra snugged up beside Shin, the later rest of the day being spent in a warm, mutually-fluffy embrace.
