DREAMS

It was always Amelia's dream to become a famous singer, who wrote songs for those to relate to. Whether they were hurting or they were happy, she aspired to become that person people could look up to.

But she knew that dream was just that, a dream. So she decided to just stick to a practical job. Stick to something that could still help people. Just maybe in the shadows.

Amelia decided to forget that dream and move on to a future in fighting crime. She was going to choose to go and work for the FBI and save lives. Every once in a while she would see news or hear music from new artists who followed their dreams never letting those get to them. Never letting their doubts and fears get the better of them. But Amelia just would push forward, not stopping this career she would go on. A good career that would provide, that would help those, and would make her happy right?

She went to school and continued in her classes to succeed in psychology and criminology. She would have a few moments here and there when she made friends and lost some. Found love and lost it. Never forgetting those emotions she felt during these times. She would sometimes write a few songs but remembered what she had to do. Remembered the school and career she was making for herself.

But there was a part of her that always wondered "what if?". What if she tried? what if she wrote songs and brought them to artists who would listen to them? what if she followed her dream?

It wasn't until she lost someone very close to her heart for her to realize. It wasn't until she read that note that was left behind, that she realized her dream in life. It wasn't to just live life and have a steady career. It wasn't just to sit around for something exciting to happen. She had to make it happen. She had to make her dreams a reality.

She decided to follow what her best friend had said to her before leaving her too soon 

"Follow the path that will lead to your true joy and happiness, not the one that you have been told will. Follow your dreams"

So she got her guitar and songs and set out to make her dreams come true. To make them a reality. She sat down in the city and played until she could no more. She almost gave up until that person changed her life. That agent who found her and made her dreams real. Who brought her into the studio and made her album. Who believed in her. Who made her who she is today:

She followed her love of music and making a difference, and she made it happen.

She made her dreams her reality,
and nothing will ever change that...

except maybe someone who could turn her world upside down...
