Blu begins to remember bits and pieces of his past, then he and his entire family go on vacation to Rio. While there, he encounters a new threat, Terrin, a villainous owl seeking revenge. Blu finds a long lost sister, and together with the help of the tribe, Blu defeats Terrin and his army of military macaws. In the process, Blu finds out that Terrin is responsible for his parents' death, and he decides to put an end to Terrin.
