Greenery woke up with a start, screaming and kicking. It went on for a few seconds before she realised she had been dreaming. Taking a deep breath she lay back staring at the blue light grey ceiling, trying to catch her breath.

The ceiling was quite nice with patterns drawn all over, her eyes moved with those patterns calming her down. Her clothes clung on to her from all the sweat she had produced.

"When did I get a grey painted ceiling?" She thought as it suddenly dawned on her that this was not her room. She scrambled off the bed falling with a thud, hissing as her captor would know she was awake now.

She wracked her brain on how she got here. All she could remember was walking into that college and everything else became a blur but something was quite clear, she had cried her eyes out in Bash's arms. Slowly she made her way to the door confused on where she was. She quietly opened the door and snuck out. Her shoes were nowhere to be seen, so she tiptoed down the stairs only to freeze half way capturing the other person's attention.

"Hi," He said.

Greenery did not know what to say. She did not know how this had happened. Her brain was overworking already.

"Di....." her voice was horsey and dry.

He took a glass, filling it with water and holding it out for her.

Perplexed did not even describe it. She did not know if she should scream or what but his charming smile had her heart drumming.

'Did he want to kill me for what I did? What if he wanted to take his revenge?' She thought rooted where she was.

"I swear I don't bite." He said giving her one of his best smiles.

How could a girl hold on to her heart from that smile? She took the few last steps slowly then reached her hand, taking the water only for their fingers to touch causing a gasp to pass her lips. The feeling it produced too much for her.

Taking a deep breath she reached out her hand again taking the water without contact this time. Bringing the water up she sniffed them first to make sure they weren't spiked. Not getting anything she brought them to her lips tasting first to find them tasteless so she drank the rest her, eyes not leaving Bash.

"How did I get here? Did I..?" She asked after clearing her throat.

"No, no!" Bash said vigorously shaking his head. Greenery could finally breathe after that, after last year she could not trust herself around him.

"You fell asleep I guess you were just tired so I brought you to my house." He said.

Greenery wanted to ask and congratulate him on getting a new house telling him it totally fit him but she bit her tongue knowing her place.

"I made you supper." He said giving her a plate of potatoes and steak.

"You can cook?" It just slipped past her mouth, she almost slapped herself for it.

"Yeah, I leave alone now and like doing things on my own for a change. I truly enjoy it." He said smiling.

"I should go, I should not be here." She said placing the plate down even though her stomach growled.

"It's Okay Green, please sit." Her heart skipped a beat. No one called her Green not even her father.

"No Bash, I can't, I can't be locked up again Bash I can't." She said.

"That won't happen again, I won't let it. Anger clouded my judgement last time." He said.
"I am sorry," he finally said having grabbed her by her arms. Nothing else was heard as Greenery looked down at his hands on her skin, her whole mind went mushy with her heart leaping so hard she thought she would faint.

Was this really happening?

"Now sit down and eat," He continued pointing to the stool by the kitchen island.

He went around her pushing her to the bar stool. She sat down, uncomfortable from all that was happening, she had never been so nervous. It felt so weird being around him and there she was about to eat food cooked by him. She felt excited yet also scared. Scared that someone would barge through the door accusing her of breaking in his house yet excited that Sebastian Black was just a few inches from her and there she was eating food cooked none other than him. Her heart could not take such excitement, it jumped around making her fear for a heart attack.

With shaking hands she picked up a fork and stabbed on the baby potatoes taking one to her mouth. She could immediately taste the chilli there and it was a lot.

'So that is why the potatoes are red,' she thought chewing while her tongue burned. She almost laughed at the whole situation but did not dare. She ate another then went for the burnt and chewy steak.

"How is it?" He asked excitedly

"You're the first person to eat my home cooking." He continued.

"Umh, there is room for improvement. It is not bad for a guy." She said trying so hard to keep her heart at bay. Hadn't it been a year ago when she had dreamt of something like this? Hadn't it been a year when he had not even known she existed? With all that had happened it had been the first time she had genuinely smiled and it felt so good. She wished this could last forever. Wished she could stare in those pool of brown-reddish melting heaven.

"What time is it?" She asked chewing on the now elastic meat.

He looked at his wrist watch "it's five-thirty." He said casually.

"What?" Greenery could not help but jump off the stool.

"I have to go, lord I am so late. I have to go sorry." She did not even know where to run to. Her shoes and bag were missing.

There was no way she would make it in time. She would be late and Mr Roy would fire her.

"Where to? I can drive you." He suggested.

"No no, it's in my town." She said going back upstairs.

Walking in the room she saw the messy bed wanting to make it but time was not on her side. Quickly she wrestled with the cover straightening it. As she did that she spotted her shoes and bag next to each other under a wooden desk. With unbelievable speed she ran there putting on her sneakers, taking her bag then rushing out. Bash was nowhere in sight and she had no time to look for him so she shouted a goodbye hoping he would hear it wherever he was then ran out only to stop on her tracks.

Sebastian sat in his Mustang blasting music with all windows rolled down.

"Come on, you late, don't just stand there." He called.

Sebastian was wearing black jeans along with a maroon polo t-shirt. His black hair was a neat mess making him look like a delicious bad boy as he was especially with that smirk on his red- blackish lips showing he was a smoker.

Greenery walked up to the car, hands sweating to no end as her heart threatened to part with her. She grabbed the door, opening it and sliding in. The car had a dark brown leather interior while having a black exterior. Greenery looked over to Sebastian who had one hand on the steering wheel, the other on the gear with his seatbelt clipped. The woodsy scent hit her nostrils having a zip of pleasure run down her spine. How could someone be so sexy?

She fastened her seat belt and stood back watching from the windscreen, the beautiful sight of the sun setting. It's golden and orange rays mixing with the darker grey shades of night. The beast roared as it pulled out the driveway moving so elegantly and swiftly. It was a warm evening and the wind cooled her down making her relax into the chair and enjoy the sounds of the famous Black Coffee. She had never been at peace than that moment right there, turning to the right she could not help but shyly smile as she found Bash staring at her with a wide grin.

By the time the car pulled up the busy parking lot of the diner Greenery wanted to refuse getting out and sticking in her seat like a big baby. Everything seemed so perfect when she was around him. He seemed to heal her broken soul, kissing her wounds closed. As much as she knew that she could never call him hers she still did not lie to herself on how much she was in love with him. They would lock her up all they wanted but it would never change that he held a large part of her heart. She suddenly wondered if she would ever find love.

"So this is where you spend the rest of your evenings." He said turning off the engine. She had five minutes to spare so she sat there wanting to make it last as much as she could.

"Yeah, I am the assistant chef." She said playing with her hands.

"Oohh really, that means you a good cook." He said.

"I would not say that. I try." She replied back.

"I have to go now, thank you for everything. You are so kind." She said unbuckling her seat belt.

"Okay, have a great Friday night. I will see you soon." He said.

She opened the door, stepping out taking her bag with her. She closed the door, waving as she took a step back. Greenery walked into the diner after the car had took off disappearing down the road. In that moment she had decided that that was the best day of her life. Getting into the changing room she took off her clothes wearing the leggings she had left in her locker on Monday then she pulled on the t-shirt also from the locker followed by her apron, hair net then slid up safety shoes provided by the diner.

Walking into the kitchen she made out the head chef already sweating from running around doing this and that.

"I have never been so happy to see you." The head chef said giving her the slip she had been carrying.

"Hi," Greenery said before reading the receipt.

1x Veg burger with large crisp fries.

2x Barbeque beef Pizza med, extra cheese, extra meat.

3x extra-large French fries.

Taking out all she needed she got right on it.

"Are the chips on the fryer for an order?" She asked.

"Yeah, please take them out!" The head chef replied.

Greenery took out the fries putting them on the chafing dish seasoning them with salt, mixed herbs and chips spice.

"Make them 3 extra-large and one for burger to go." The head chef shouted over the loud sound of the griller.

She dished them accordingly, taking some frozen already cut potatoes putting the on the deep fryer before getting on the veg burger then moving on to the meaty burger. A lot of receipts came in, with everything cooking she took two slips one of spicy buffalo wings and another on a sweet chilli chicken wrap.

The night moved on as the two cooks ran around trying to get everything out in time. The diner was busier than ever. No one took a break as looking at the crowd they were shorthanded. It was so bad even the waiters came in the kitchen helping out when something was taking too long.

Noise from the front was deafening- the sound of loud chatter, cutlery clashing with baby screams. Everyone was happy and having a good time besides the stuff. It was a Friday after all and even Mr Roy himself was on the floor serving when needed. The orders came one after the other, no one taking a breather.

Sweat trickled down Greenery's forehead as she wiped it with a tissue disposing it and quickly washing her hands again. It had just hit ten and the crowd was not thinning at all. Most of them now were the drunk party people from the nearby club. The crowd was hard to contain as the noise got louder and louder, drunk customers wanting this and that, breaking this and that.

"Greenery He said he ordered extra hot half chicken with Veggies!" A waiter shouted at the other side of the counter.

"No, he ordered hot wings with chips, I am sure of it Here is his slip!" Greenery said frustrated. The drunk man had order something else and was now refusing to take the food saying it was not what he wanted. Greenery sighed drying her hands on her washcloth which was hanging from her back pocket.

The waiter walked away and Greenery got back making the double rib burger ordered by another customer. She worked on the ribs while the bacon fried on the pan.

"Greenery He stood up and left saying he was not paying for the plate even though he ate half of it. He said it was not what he ordered." Greenery almost threw the knife she had in her hand to the wall. The plate would now have to be taken out of her salary.

"Sorry Greenery," The waitress said putting down the half eaten plate.

Furious she continued chopping the ribs removing the bones with such anger. In twenty minutes another complaint came in about someone finding long black hair in her food. It was surprising because Greenery had no hair like at all.

"Linda as you can see I have no hair, what is the colour of her hair?" Greenery asked the waitress.

"It is black and long," She said.

"Did you tell her that it's probably her hair?" She asked.

"I did but she went all crazy saying I insulted her. She stated that she wanted another plate talking about contamination." Linda said.

"I don't know Linda but I am not making another plate so deal with her please." Greenery said getting back on making her chicken and mushroom pie.

It was past two in the morning, when they knocked out, no one was in a good mood. There was no chit-chat as the doors of the diner were closed. Greenery could not keep her fear at bay, Suzzie had left early because of a family emergency while Greenery had hoped to ask her to drop her off at home as she was scared to death that she would be attacked again. It seemed luck was not on her side as everyone went their own ways leaving her wondering what her best bet was. After biting her lower lip for a while she realised that there was no other way for her than running as fast as she could.

Greenery made sure her bag was tight at her back, she did not want it flopping around making noise as she ran, she checked her shoe laces and started running. Before she could get at the end of the parking lot a rather fast speeding car turned the corner speeding her way. She stood waiting for it to pass so she could cross the road. It got closer and she could soon make out the colour and design. Greenery shook her head, it was just a coincidence. Her mind drifted back to the road waiting for her, she was already dead tired wishing she could just collapse there and there.

The car came into a halt next to her, window rolling down as she panicked looking around to see if there was anyone to help her if this car driver decided to kidnap her.

"Sorry I'm late, I kind of overslept. Get in," Came a voice she recognised too well.

Perplexed she could not help but ask "What are you doing here?"

"I am your ride home of course, can't let you walk alone at night with such dangerous people chasing you around." He said leaning and opening the door for her.

Her feet carried her inside where she now sat, totally stunned.

"I don't know what to say, umh, thank you." She said dazed. He took this chance to buckle her seat belt for her. Greenery froze forgetting to even breathe as he was just a few inches from her. If he would look up and angle his head to the right their lips would meet. This was too much for poor Greenery. She did not know what was happening as her whole body heat went sky rocketing. She was practically eating his scent up as his chest brushed against her boobs, she did not dare look down but her mind had taken care of that creating an image of its own. Her hands found the edge of the seat grabbing onto it for dear life.

There was a click and Sebastian was done moving away to his own seat letting poor Greenery breathe again as her eyes were still wide she was sure they would fall out. He buckled his own seat belt and in a few minutes they were speeding through the town.

"I seriously thought I would not find you but wanted to check." He said

"Yeah, it was quite busy tonight." She said back.

"I see, are you working tomorrow?" He asked.

"Yeah, I have an eight to five shift of which I am done for the week." She said nervously clenching her seat belt.

Greenery took up the courage stealing a look. His hair was messy, his eyes puffy from sleep. He wore the same t-shirt as earlier but had shorts on this time. He looked so cute and adorable as you could see that sleep still clouded his eyes. He held on the steering wheel listening to music, moving his head now and again to the beat. He looked so sexy driving, his arm muscles were flexing now and again.

"What song is that?" She asked honestly.

"It's John Redcorn by Sir, it's my favourite song at the moment." He said.

"It's nice," She said back listening more to it, liking it very much as it had become her new favourite song.
