Today was hot. Like the sweltering kind of hot.

This was turning out to be one of the hottest English summers on record and I should know. I have suffered through every single day of it. I was not a fan of overly hot weather, my pale skin easily gets sunburnt and unfortunately, this was the kind of sun that penetrates any barriers and melts away the sunscreen.

So here I was, a sweaty mess, my hair pushed up in a messy bun to stop it from sticking to my neck, a glass of iced water in one hand and a glass of wine in the other whilst I attempted to cool off under the shaded area of the parasol.

It was late afternoon and the sun wasn't letting up as we sat around in Freddy and Eliza's back garden. Today was my birthday and we all had arranged to meet here after the workday was done. Aidan, Avery and I were the first ones here where Avery immediately began to blow up balloons and hang banners.

Whilst Avery was on decoration duty, Aidan had the job of preparing the food and so he went to the kitchen to get started. I asked if I could help but he insisted that I should relax on my birthday. That was when he shoved a glass of wine in my hand and told me to go out into the garden.

Now I was lounging out on a sunbed underneath a huge parasol wearing my black bikini with a black and white, light and floaty tunic dress over the top and my sunglasses. I could hear Aidan and Avery playfully shouting at each other from inside the house and it made me giggle to myself.

"Something funny?" Aidan asked as he stepped out of the door leading from the kitchen and over towards where the rustic, brick wall barbecue was situated.

The Miller's back garden was huge, it had high-railed fences marking the border of their land and with no neighbours immediately next door the wandering flowers that had entangled themselves through the metal bars had room to spread.

There was a massive swimming pool with a row of sunbeds down the side which was where I was sitting. There was a barbecue area with an outdoor dining table big enough to seat the whole family, a fire pit area with wooden benches, lots of trees and manicured lawns. Scattered about the vast acres were various flower beds and there was even a separate rose garden that had the most fragrant pink, white and red roses.

Although the house and garden were saturated with luxury there was no arrogance that came along with it. Everything designed in the garden was there to be used, it was made so the family could have fun and enjoyment but most of all it was created for a family.

"Nothing," I replied. Aidan threw some firelighters and charcoal briquettes down into the pan of the barbecue and set light to them.

Aidan had removed half his clothes inside the kitchen and he was now just wearing a pair of black shorts and sunglasses. I watched the sun bounce off his tanned and tattooed skin making it glisten and look incredibly appealing.

I found myself licking my lips as I continued to appreciate how toned his body was with muscles in all the right places. "You got some drool there," I heard Aidan's voice snap me out of my daze as he laughed at me being caught.

"Seen something you like?" He cooed and strode over to me, "because I know I have." With that, he knelt in between my legs on the sunbed and hovered over me, with hunger on his lips and lust in his eyes.

Within a split second, he bent down and captured my lips with his, the kiss was urgent and Aidan wasted no time in running his tongue over my bottom lip so I would open my mouth for him. Our tongues immediately collided like fire and ice, an explosion of senses erupted in my mouth.

A small moan escaped my lips and the kiss became even more demanding, our heavy breaths seeped out into the kiss as though an elixir was about to be made. We gasped and sought oxygen in between the workings of our kiss because the potion needed more propellant.
