It has been almost a year, and so far, you have never been happier, as you are holding hands with the most beautiful girl you've ever laid eyes on. She looked back at you with a glimmer in her green eyes, and gave you a soft, warm smile. Her name was Amy Rose. But she wasn't exactly like every other girl you've seen. She was much, much different. She was a pink hedgehog with a red dress, red boots, and red headband. When you first met her, you thought she was incredibly cute. So cute that she was probably too cute for you. But after all the time you've spent with her, as well as cheering her up whenever she's sad, she started having a huge crush on you, and now you two were a couple. Every day you would both go out somewhere, or you would both be at home playing games and watching movies. But this time was special. This was Amy's favorite time of the year. February. The month with her most favorite holiday. Valentine's Day. She seemed extremely happy and cheerful that the day was near. Like it was Christmas or her birthday. When you walked to her house to see her, you saw her staring cutely at you with her cheeks having a cute, pink blush. "Hi cutie! ❤️" She exclaimed with a wink. You blushed and smiled. "I'm excited for it as you are." "You bet I am!" Amy exclaimed, spinning around the room. As she was spinning, you slowly grew a frown, and sighed. Amy stopped and looked at you. She slowly went up to you and put her hand on your chest. "Sweetie? What's wrong?" You asked. "I...I have to work that day...," You said. "Huh? Wh-What do you mean...?" She asked, looking in your eyes. "I don't know why...," you said. "I have this job. And I requested Valentine's day off a bunch of times for you...but apparently they need me that day." "Oh...," Amy said, softly. Hearing her say that made you tear up. "Hey, don't cry __________," she said, holding you and kissing your cheek. "Sorry...," you said. "It's just that...that day was very special to you...and I just didn't want to ruin it in any way.... I wanted to stay with you. I really did." Amy smiled and kissed you more. "Hey, it's okay. I know you really wanted to stay with me. And no, you didn't ruin it, silly," she said. "I didn't?" You asked. "No!" She giggled. "If you really need to work, then that's okay. It's not like you don't want to be with me." "Of course I want to be with you. You're the best thing in the world to me," you said. Amy blushed, smiled, and smothered your face with kisses.
