"What do you mean there's a hole in the living room?" Naruto asked to his sweet daughter.

"It means that... there's an actual hole in the living-room" 13 year old Himawari raised her shoulders and frowned to her father. Naruto patted her head and laughed nervously. "It's been there since this morning, I almost swallowed some wood with my cereal since the ceiling is kinda creaky. It kinda lost some support."

Naruto looked straight at his daughter for who knows how long. The house—with his children inside—was left unsupervised for half an hour, and there was no living room anymore. Ever since his wife decided to take—for some unknown reason—sewing classes, he had to leave the Hokage office early to keep an eye on their children. Boruto and Himawari were old enough to not set the house on fire, but he wanted them to at least have one parent on the house. At least until they grow up and move out to their own house. Which brought him to the main issue —and his main concern—.

"Did Mom see?" He asked trying to keep his calm.

Himawari seemed to ponder deeply before replying. "No, but I think I heard a loud noise just a few minutes after she left."

"You think?" His eyebrow twitched.

"Yeah, I was listening to music."

"Alright, let's check that out" He said chuckling lightheartedly. It couldn't be that bad if she could barely hear something, right? It probably was just a small dent on the wall. Himawari was still in the academy and Boruto was only a Chunin. It wasn't like he had two adult ANBU living under his roof.

That's what he thought. Until he made it to the living room. Then, all of the wagons of his train of thought went straight to hell when he realized his sweet little daughter wasn't exaggerating. If nothing else, she watered down the facts.

The entire wall was missing, along with a big chunk of the second floor from where pieces of wood were still falling. Naruto wasn't sure what has he done to deserve this. But he was certain of something.

"Why is there a hole in the living room?" He asked to his older son, mentally waving his sanity goodbye. Oh, he might not know what happened to that poor wall, but he knew who contributed to its destruction.

The teenage boy looked at his father unamused, shoes on the coffee table. The boring look in his face could even be compared to the annoyed look Naruto's seen on Shikadai these days. And it was really an accomplishment.

"Why is the sky blue?" Boruto countered sarcastically putting his earplugs back on like a part of his house wasn't missing right in front of him. Naruto felt his eyebrows twitch.

'Be a parent, it'll be fun.'

"What has the sky anything to do with this?" Naruto usually had trouble understanding his son, but today was like he belonged to a whole other universe.

Boruto took just one earplug and stared at him. "Both are questions I really don't care about."

"Boruto!" The adult exclaimed at his son's attitude.

"What?"

Naruto was about to lose his head, because his mind was already gone. And he prayed, very deeply, every night, for his daughter not to be like Boruto. The Hokage just hoped Hinata would come quickly because he was about to be accused of murdering his own son.

"This was your doing wasn't it?" Naruto sighed heavily as the breeze coming from the hole blew his hair slightly.

"I don't know." Boruto replied without raising his eyes from his phone.

Whoever created teenager's mood was clearly messed up, and out of his brains. After staring at him for another whole minute, the boy sighed in defeat and took one of his earphones.

"Sarada might or might not have come earlier to prove a point. And I might or might not have challenged her to a duel on the front yard." He started all confident but ended up whispering when he saw how his father's eyes were Kurama red. "And well, a rasengan might or might not have accidentally touched a tiny bit the living room wall from the outside."

Boruto chuckled nervously. Naruto limited himself to stare at his son. He opened his mouth to give him a scold he'll never forget, and the bell rings. Multiple times.

"If at this point, you dare to leave this room..." Naruto growled and Boruto nodded copiously.

Down at the door stood Sakura and Sarada. Naruto opened up with half a smile, given his newly found mood he decided to name 'Prolicide'.

"Good evening Sakura-chan, Sarada-chan. I'm afraid I have my hands full with my son at the time, would you mind strolling by later?"

"Actually, that's why we're here." Sakura said with a sorry face as she pointed to the missing piece of his house. "You see, it's both of their faults for resorting to their fists. Or in Boruto's case, his rasengan."

Naruto found the way she talked so nonchalantly he let out a repressed chuckle. "This must happen to you all the time right?"

"You have no idea." Sakura deadpanned shaking her hand dismissively. "Anyway, they must be punished for it nonetheless. It's not the right thing to do unless they want to end up placing Hashirama all over themselves. Or not." Sakura said the last with an accusing frown.

"We're over it now. I think." Naruto smiled. "Come inside."

The two girls and Natuto made their way to the 'living room'. Sarada sat on the couch next to her blonde teammate. Both looked down, unable to look at their respective parents.

"Sarada." Sakura called with a low but firm tone. The young Uchiha swallowed and attempted to look at Naruto, but her shame overwhelmed her and she ended up playing with her hands on her lap.

"I'm truly sorry Nanadaime-sama." She uttered slowly, without looking up, she felt Boruto's eyes fixed on her as she apologized. "We were heading for the training grounds but we didn't make it there in time."

"Because you had to criticize my rasengan." Boruto said under his breath and Sarada heard.

"And you told me I was falling behind on my training!" She replied, the rivalry spreading in the air like electricity. Naruto and Sakura shared a surprised look and both had to repress a chuckle. This wasn't new at all.

"My rasengan is not tiny." Boruto claimed using the words she used on their dispute earlier. "I like to think it's concentrated. A little smaller but double the power."

"That's what you tell yourself before going to sleep?" She retorted crossing her arms and looking at him sideways, a mocking smile spreading her lips.

"That's it!" Boruto said standing on the couch and ready to lounge at his teammate again. Sarada stood with a foot on the floor and a foot on the couch, ready to counterattack.

Then the temperature dropped a few degrees dissipating the tension, both teens looked at their respective parents with a confused expression. Sakura's cold green stare made Sarada's bones freeze. And Naruto's bright red Kurama eyes and atmosphere made Boruto lower his eyes and step off the couch.

Words weren't needed. The youngest pair had a fair idea of their parent's strength, they weren't about to test it out. After a few more minutes of reflecting for them, everyone went their merry ways.

Boruto had been grounded for a month, no friends, no games and most importantly: no missions. He hated that his father was a Hokage just for that. But he know better than to disobey his scary mother.

Sarada, on the other hand, was forbidden to go to the training grounds. Which knowing her daughter Sakura knew it would be punishment enough. Sakura knew that the comment Boruto made about her falling behind on combat skills will most likely make Sarada mad on its own.
