Almost immediately after the conversation with Bruce had ended, Natasha got a hold of Fury, telling him about the situation and what they were hoping to do moving forward. After the call, a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents had shown up rather quickly, within a few hours at least. They came with building supplies, and machines to assist their work. As soon as they got there, foundations for the temporary shacks were being put together, sitting in the sun to dry.
Once the shacks were actually built, Natasha knew that she would most likely be the one who delivered supplies like cribs, beds, ovens, and everything else you would need to survive. Luckily, they weren't quite complete yet, so those things would be a problem a bit later.
In this moment, the only thing she had to worry about was passing out food to the Asgardians. Every single one of them thanked her as she pressed the food into their desperate hands. They would often tell her of their eternal thankfulness for this act of kindness that she was doing for them. In response, she would smile and nod, moving on to the next family or person to give more out.
Across from where she stood, she was very aware of the rest of the team discussing whether or not Loki should come with them. Not too long ago, the story had been told about Loki's heroism and his act of saving his people by finding this ship to escape with. Still thought, Loki was known to switch sides as he deemed most advantageous for himself, so this act of playing savior for his people was not enough to convince them that he was changing for the better. In defense of his brother, Thor had bluntly stated that he would not go back to Avengers Tower with them if Loki was not allowed to either. That being said, he completely understood the mistrust in Loki from his own experience as well as the evasion of earth.
For her own sake and sanity, she decided it was best to stay away from this debate and the god of mischief, after she had made her opinion known, of course. Instead, she found this to be a better use of her time: helping the Asgardians receive their food. Since this was a touchy subject for a few of them, she feared that she might do something rash in this debate. So instead, she trusted Steve to make the best decision for the team, the earth, and even Loki. Steve was not stupid enough to let Loki just meander his way into their home—their sanctuary. He deserved a cell of some sorts, guarded by the best security Fury had to offer.
After hours of working, and not by herself, the food and water had been divided amongst the people. Setting a box down next to multiple empty boxes and crates, she brushed her gloved hands down the side of her bodysuit. With a small smile, she looked over the Asgardians as they ate and drank, feeling satisfied that they had been helped.
Turning away, she walked towards her group, ready to hear the decision they had come to. It was quite obvious to her it would be unanimous—besides what Thor wanted of course. Secretly, she couldn't wait to see the look on the god of mischief's face when he was told he would be locked in a cell like before. The only problem with this would be Thor not joining them in the tower, but he would be better where he could keep an eye on his brother.
"What's the decision?" she asked as she approached the group, her question aimed at Steve.
Steve shifted uncomfortably, his eyes turning towards Thor. As if fighting a mental war within himself, he seemed to come to a conclusion, grabbing Natasha by the arm, and pulling her away from the group.
"What is going on?" she demanded, her tone sharp and quiet.
"Natasha, listen to what I have to say before you react."
Already she could tell this was not in her favor. He didn't continue, so she gave a nod to coax him on.
"This is the most beneficial decision, not just to you or me or the rest of the team, but to the whole world really. After some discussion, we have decided Loki would be under the best security and surveillance at the tower."
