s.coups as your brother - seventeen ff

chapter one : beach

of course. mom had to go on yet another business trip. but... after the incident that happened last time she left me alone... i'm stuck here with my older brother, seung cheol. and of course, mom just had to tell him to invite over his friends. don't get me wrong, i love his friends, and i am very close with all of them, it's just different when i'm going to be forced to hang out with them for a month straight.

my brother has just debuted in the group seventeen over a year ago on may 26th, 2015. i remember when he first introduced me his members. they all seemed so nice and upbeat, which i really liked. jun was very friendly, of course, yet still pretty shy. jeonghan made sure i was comfortable. dk always was asking me if i ate and drank yet. and dino was his social-butterfly-type self.

now, it is july of 2016, and i am very close to all of the guys. gosh, i've even had a sleepover with some one them. don't take that the wrong way, i just sometimes stay over where they live because it is late and they don't want me to drive home in the dark, unless seung cheol would be with me. gosh, sometimes it's like i have thirteen brothers instead of one.

seung cheol, who often goes by s-coups, comes downstairs with his hair damp from just showering. "hey, y/n." he walks into the living room by me. "we were thinking about all going to the beach today. you up for it?" he asks. "sure. what time would we go?" "9:45 we'll leave to meet the guys there at 10:00." he tells me. "okay. but if we're going to the beach... what was the point in you showering?" i question, slightly laughing. "they texted me literally right as i got out of the shower. i'll just have to shower again later."

i go upstairs to get ready, then putting on a swimsuit with clothes over it that are easy to take off when we'd get to the beach. then, i back a small draw-string bag with clothes to change into afterwards and some better shoes, along with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a towel, including just random other things i think i'll need.

"y/n! make sure you back a change of decent looking clothes for lunch!" s-coups calls from downstairs. "way ahead of you!" i say back. i walk downstairs, and i see my brother standing by the door. "all ready to go?" he asks. "yep." "okay then. let's go."

we get in the car, and after not too long we arrive to the beach. we were told where the other guys were, so we start to walk down the beach looking for them. then of course i see a two crazy boys chasing each other, and a smile is put on my face. "Y/N, HELP ME!" dino yells as he is being ran after by wonwoo. "no! don't help him!" wonwoo says. i laugh, and s-coups and i put our things down by the others. most of the boys are in the water, but jeonghan, seungkwan, dk, and the8 just sit, drinking some cokes.

"hey guys." seung cheol says with a smile. "hey." jeonghan responds. i look over to see woozi and hoshi walk to us, then grabbing their towels. "is it cold?" i ask them. "not really. we're just taking a small break because we're tired." hoshi responds. i nod. "s-coups! y/n! come in the water it's super nice!" joshua calls. "one second!" s-coups responds back.

we take off the clothes over our swimsuits, then going towards the water. it seems like a nice temperature at first, but the more i went in the colder it seemed. i get to about waist level, almost near where the other guys are. "holy shit, that's cold." i laugh, standing on my tip-toes so my bare stomach doesn't touch the water. "you'll get use to it." mingyu tells me. "come in further! it's so nice!" jun says. "but it's cold!" "do i have to make you come in further?" vernon threatens. "n-no!"

i have always had the tiniest crush on vernon, but it has sort of went away over time. but now seeing him makes that butterflies-in-my-stomach feeling come back. just look at him. how could you not at least have a small crush on him. although he isn't much older than me, he treats me like a little kid sometimes. i mean, even dino does that sometimes, and he's younger than me. i just turned eighteen not too long ago, and almost all of the guys are between s-coups and my age. seung cheol always teases me that because of my age i could honestly date any of them and there wouldn't be a huge age gap, and now that i'm eighteen it doesn't matter anyways. it sometimes annoys me when he says, but at the same time... he's right.

all of a sudden i feel someone's cold arms wrap around my waist from behind and picking me up, carrying me further into the water. i'm guessing it is wonwoo from the laugh. "holy fuck, it's freezing!" he let's go of me, and indeed, as i turn around it is wonwoo smiling. "wonwoo!" i shiver, my jaw rattling. "it's not THAT cold." wonwoo says. "says you! you're use to the water, i'm not!" "well boohoo. go cry about it." wonwoo says, teasing me. "if i wasn't so cold i would choke you right here right now." i tell him. "please do." he winks jokingly. "you know what-!" "guys, chill. we don't want anyone getting decapitated here." s-coups says, slightly laughing. I stick out my tongue at wonwoo and he does the same back.

after a while of playing in the water, we get out and i am freezing. i shiver as i grab my towel out of my bag, then putting it on me. i feel someone pat my head with their hand as i am sitting on the ground, and i tilt my neck back, looking up and seeing mingyu there. he then sits down next to me, and i look at him with a small smile. "you still cold?" he asks. "yeah. and now also my hair is wet." i frown. "because SOMEBODY thought it was a  good idea to go underwater with me." i turn my head to joshua, and he laughs. i turn back to mingyu, and mingyu gives out a small laugh.

"y/n~! come here~" a sweet voice says. i turn around to see jeonghan sitting in a chair with his arms open. i smile, then standing up and walking to him with my towel still wrapped around me. "sit next to me." he says. i do so, and he then wraps his arms around me, warming me up. "thanks for keeping me warm, mom." i jokingly tell him. "of course." he laughs.
