Chapter 1- Could This Be My Ability

It's Tuesday morning and the sun is coruscating outside which is nothing new due to Vera living in Saint Barbara California, it mostly was scorching humid weather outside. Vera was doing her normal routines before going to school like brushing her teeth, doing her hair, and packing her stuff for school. Vera never had that much of an interest for school, she was the typical straight A+ student but there comes a negative part to all this. Vera was badly bullied to the point it became physical, there was four girls. Brittany, Amanda, Topaz and Sofia.

When Vera was in the girl's bathroom at school fixing her hair, they rambled in and spotted Vera.
"Look at little miss teacher's pet." Brittany spoke behind Amanda nastily. At that Topaz took Vera's arm and pulled her into the stalls, as she did that Amanda griped Vera's hair.
"Lets see how you handle H2O." Amanda stated before she flushed the toilet and shoved Vera's face in the toilet bowl. That was just one of the millions of incidents that made school a toxic place for Vera, but it's not like she could stop going to school, so she kept going no matter what, after all that's where she's going right now.

~ At School ~
Vera's mom, Tabea drove her to school.
"Vera, I won't be home till Thursday due to my business project." It's no shocker that Vera's mom always had business meetings or business work but Vera liked being alone, it gave her time to be her own person in a way.
"Yeah, I understand mom." She said. Vera got out of the car than heading towards St Barbra High School before her finger tips hit the door handle of the school, Vera felt a rough grab on her shoulders.
"Hey, wannabe dumb blonde Barbie." Rebuked Sofia. It's funny how SHE used the dumb blonde stereotype since she's blonde too.
"What do you want Sofia? My blonde hair has nothing to do with my intelligence." Reassured Vera. Sofia didn't like getting talked back at so she shoved Vera onto the grey dirty pavement.

Vera is used to the stares, the hurt. Vera got up and grabbed her stuff that fell on the ground. Vera sprinted to the girls bathroom to break down, she noticed a piece of paper and pen at the pocket of her bag. With hateful thoughts she took the pen and wrote "I wish the police will find wet cocaine in Sofia's locker, so she can feel somewhat emotional pain of that feeling of being innocent but that's not what her locker says." She paused as a sudden yell came from the hallway near the bathroom.

Vera opened door just a crack to see the commotion, from what she can see it's Sofia. She's yelling at the police officer by her locker holding a bag with white substance in it.
"Listen officer, I swear I don't know where the cocaine came from." Sofia soothed.
"I'm sorry Ms.Sofia, we are gonna have to call your parents. You're coming with us." Said the police officer. That's when I seen the handcuffs, those sliver metal weapons press around her wrist. Vera closed the door and collapsed on floor, and thought what she wrote came true. I can't stand here, I need time to refresh on what just happened.

~ At Home ~
Vera has been staring at the blade of the fan spin on her bedroom ceiling for hours now. Vera's mind has been racing with thoughts on what happened today, she knows it's probably nothing to investigate but like it's suspicious that what she wrote happened just like that... she couldn't handle it, she got a plan that could prove what really happened. Vera has this nerve feeling that what happened today was no coincidence.
