Sometimes I feel lost and other times I feel as if I have conquered the world. At times the laughter is not in my control and other times the tears can't be held in my eyes.
It's not easy losing the one you love. Especially if it is unexpected.
Ava: Happy birthday baby! I'll be there to wish you at 8!
Liam: Okay sweetheart, do you promise?
Ava: Of course, I'll be there no matter what happens. I love you.
Liam: I love you baby, I'm going to prepare dinner for us now!
Ava: Yay! C'ya.
[8:00 pm.
No sign of the girl.
Boy waits.
One hour passes.
Still no sign.
Finally she comes at 9:30]
Liam: Hi babe. So good to see you. What kept you so long?
Ava: *gives him a bear hug* Sorry sweetheart, there was a lot of traffic.
Liam: That's fine, I'm so happy to see you.
They were both hungry, so they chatted for a bit and then had the food.
[Liam's cellphone rings. He answers. It's his Ava's mom]
Liam: Hi
Ava's mom: (She's in tears. Her voice is shaking.) Hi son, I'm so sorry to say that I'm in the hospital and my girl just passed out *weeps*
Liam: W-wha.. what are you talking about?
Ava's mom: (sobbing) She was in an accident... she did not make it... (Her voice tails off)
Liam turns to her girl... sees her fading away with a smile on her face.
Ava: I told you I would be there. Don't worry baby, I'm always with you.
