I'm scared. I'm scared of everything. My life throws curveballs at me, and I've gotten really good at dodging them.

Take it like this: you're in the middle of a football game, star quarterback, got everything going for you like your life is perfect, just where you want to be.

The blood coursing through your veins, adrenaline. You look up and see the recruiters just staring with hope, the stare as sharp as a blade. Your last game and your most important game.

Your beautiful girlfriend on the sideline leading the cheer team in a chant, she turns and blows you a kiss just before the last two point conversion of the game, of the season, and depends on your possible entire career.

You breathe deep as you hit your stance, call your play, and go.

You look right. Left. Back right, and back le-

Half of the defensive line from your biggest rivals sack your ass flat to the ground, it's over.

You lost, but maybe you performed well enough the rest of the game to earn that scholarship you've been waiting for. So, you start to get up, sportsmanship after all. You take your helmet off and slowly move to, disappointedly, shake some hands.

Until you realize you can't, because you can see the bone in your ankle. You stare and it stares right back at you. Football career=over.

All your best friends and most loyal teammates give you looks of shame, that you feel strongly. The stands clear out as everyone realizes what had just happened. Social status=non-existent

The trainers come to find out what's wrong, following them is Coach, and the recruiters. The looks on their faces piercing your heart with intensity. The look alone, you won't be getting a scholarship, even if you could play. Future=ended in a matter of seconds.

At least you still have your top notch, beautiful, cheer captain girlfriend by your side. When the trainers help you up, first things first is to go to her. You look to see her beautiful face, but a distraught look comes to your face instead of a smile, as she kisses your co-captain, best friend, and brother. Heart=broken

Everything in my life crashed in a matter of seconds, and if it's possible, my life literally sent me a letter saying: fuck you!
Like it was getting me back for something.

My life was perfect, everything was going for me, so all I could do was hope for the best, right?
