Alfred rested his back against the wall, tired of trying to struggle his way out of the chains holding him by the wrists. After 3 days of being chained to a wall with drawn arrows pointing at him, with words saying 'LAIR'. He let out a sigh, his legs felt numb, his wrists ached, and his face stained with dry tears. Alfred had tried everything from calling for help to nearly ripping his hands right of his arms. He prayed Kao would have heard him by now, but something may have gotten to him first. The room was silent and Alfred couldn't tell if it was night or day. All he could see was pitch black.

Until he heard a familiar sound of heavy footsteps coming his way. He prayed as hard as he possibly could that they'd go past the room, but they came to a sudden halt. Tears start whelming in the corner of Alfreds eye and a small whimper escaped his mouth. Time seemed to slow down as a shadow could be seen under the door. He knew exactly whose it belonged to, the one who chain him here, the one who hurt him and Kao... Mystery.

The door swung open making a loud crash as it hit the wall. A tall, slim purple cat stood looking at Alfred with a grin that spread across his whole face. The tears escaped Alfreds eye leaking down his face and dripping to the floor. "Hee Hoo, Hi friend freddy! How are you feeling today?" Mystery spoke in an obscene tone. Alfred slowly raised his head to look at the emaciated cat. "W-What ha-... have you done with Kao?!" Alfred managed to mutter out.  "Oh trust me Kao's fine, he's been teaching Mystery fun games! You can join us" Mystery happily spoke.

Than Mysterys tone quickly changed to a bit manipulative. "That's if you're willing to be happy...". Alfred slowly shook his head in fear, no way in a million years would he go with that sick twisted cat. Mystery had always liked Kao better than him, but he still hurts him and he could be half dead on the floor somewhere in this damned hospital.

Mystery expression quickly changed to  blank the moment Alfred began to move. In a dead sounding voice he said, "well I'll just have to speed things up then...". He left the room without another word. Alfred began to struggle as much as possible pulling away from the wall. He pulled and pulled.... Until he heard the sound of rocks shifting. He turned to see his efforts had paid off, a very noticeable crack went right through two of the bolts holding the chain to the wall. With another pull it would come right off. As Alfred gathered the strength for another pull, the same heavy footsteps could be heard. He began to panic he yanked with every bit of strength left in him and with a mighty crash one of two chains had broken free.  Mystery had turned the corner with a needle in hand, filled with a strange red liquid. His expression was filled with shock and rage, and Alfred's... pure horror.

"YOU LITTLE-..." as Mystery lunged at Alfred he swung the broken chain towards Mysterys face. The chain whacked him right in the head as the needle just pierced the shibus skin. Mystery collapsed to the floor and Alfred let out a yelp as the painful red subtince leaked into his veins. He ripped the needle out of his arm, throwing it to the floor beside Mystery.

Mystery was lying lifeless on his stomach, Alfred stared at the lifeless cat. Until a strong wave of pain came over his arm. He gripped the area where the needle entered, whimpering in pain. Tears began again, falling to the floor. The pain was growing, spreading to the rest of his body, until it became too much. Alfred lost consciousness almost instantly and his body fell limp, just like Mysterys.
