The Night Things Went Down Hill

The night things happened Niro was in his apartment,watching cartoons with his neighbors kid,Tayla. She had her stuffed bunny on her lap,wearing Kitty pajamas. Niro was Leaning on the counter watching the small excited girl. There was a knock at the door and Niro left to answer it. And as suspected it was Tayla's mother. He smiled and Tayla ran to her mother. Niro brushed his blonde hair out of his eyes and smiled. "Thank you for watching her!" Her mother exclaimed bowing. "I'M Sorry. I still haven't paid-but I will! I swear!" She said quickly. "No-no. Thank you for letting me watch her. She's awesome and fun to hang out with,plus you give me food. So thats enough payment." He smiled ruffling Tayla then her mom's hair. As they bowed once more and headed to their room. He smiled and told them to lock up. Going to his bed and turning off the lights. He just stared at his ceiling. He stayed like that till He fell asleep.

There was a rumble causing Niro to sit up,followed by the building shaking. Then lots of screaming.

He sat up. Very alarmed and stumbled Pulling on some jeans then a T-shirt. Fumbling to his window.

Everything was destroyed. Broken. On fire. Everything. And people were out side fumbling around. Almost deadlike. He heard a yell Next door. It was Tayla,if anyone,He knew her yell.

He yanked on his shoes and grabbed a chiefs knife-better safe then Sorry. He slide out of his room and turned to Taylas room,her door was ajar. He kicked it open,knife ready. As He slowly walked in Where He heard....growling? He kicked that door open and his eyes widend in shock.

There was a...person? Covered in blood,nails raking down the closet door,Where He assumed Tayla was hiding. The 'person' turned to him. And That's when He noticed. It's sure as hell wasn't a human.
