He sits behind me, farther behind me.

Two rows, maybe three, I never counted.

His golden colored Tenor Sax.

Blowing out sweet melodies from his breath.

I catch him looking at me.

My heart goes a flutter, eyes dart away.

In hopes he'd be mine.

It will take a long time,

To notice someone young like me.

My friends say he's not handsome,

But, I believe he's my knight in shiny armor.

His friends, my friends, says he just knows me.

And that strikes pain down in my chest.

Someone says he thinks I'm weird.

I shrug it off like I don't care,

Yet in the inside,

I do... I do...

Love from a far hurts more than ever.

Weeping does no good.

For it is all hopeless fantasies.
