So, this is the story of how I became a Brony:
So, a while before I actually got into My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, my little sister was watching the first two episodes (Friendship is Magic: Parts 1 and 2), but I didn't come in until the middle of the "Laughter Song", which confused me (and kind of freaked me out), because I didn't know she was watching it and I had no idea what it was, or what was going on (and Pinkie Pie's hyperness was scaring me, but she did remind me of my little sister).
A little while later, my older sister made a deal with our friend that if he watched the first episode of the British show Primeval, then she would watch a few episodes of My Little Pony: FiM, along with the Equestra Girls movie. She agreed to the deal, however, I'm the one who actually picked the first episodes to watch (at my house, we take turns watching an episode of a show or a movie). I did this for two reasons: my sister didn't want to, and I actually wanted to watch it to see what is was like.
After the first two episodes, I decided it was a pretty good show, but the more I watched, the more I got into it. In fact, I'm probably into it the most in my family (except maybe my little brother who's only seven), even more than my little sister. At first I liked Pinkie the best, I thought Twilight and Rarity were dumb, and I kind of thought Rainbow Dash was just a braggart and a show-off. Now, I like Fluttershy the best (out of the mane six), Rainbow and Pinkie are tied for second, and Twilight isn't that bad, but I still don't really like Rarity.
When I first heard of "Doctor Whooves", I was like "That makes SO MUCH SENSE!!" Then, I got really into him, I even have one of those collectible vinyl figures of him. I began to look to see if I could find him in the episodes of My Little Pony. It was kind of like looking for the pineapple in Psych. And (this could count as a spoiler I guess) **when I saw him with 3D-glasses, walking with the pony named 'Rose' on the episode It Ain't Easy Being Breezies, I was like "What the FREAK just happened!!?!" I had to rewind just to make sure I really saw it! It is AWESOME!!**
Anyways, the only way I can watch it is through Netflix, so when season four finally got on, I was super happy. I also realized that the quality was slightly different. An it was slightly less girly, even though it wasn't really too girly to begin with.
I've made one OC so far. His name is 'Black Mist'. He's a MALE Alicorn who has almost no memory from before the time he turned up in Ponyville one stormy night. He's good friends with the mane six, especially Rainbow and Fluttershy because he went to school with them in Cloudsdale (which is his only memory from his childhood). He has strange powers, and doesn't know who he is. He's the Doctor's best friend (besides Derpy) when he's trapped in Equestria. (PS: If you want to know more about Black Mist, you can read my 'Doctor Whooves'. I have one finished (Doctor Whooves-Part 1: Arrival in Equestria) and I'm currently working on the second one(Doctor Whooves - Part 2: An Elder Race))
I've met few other bronies, and out of them, I was only really good friends with one of them, so I don't really have anyone to talk to about it. And I have a hard time making friends, because I'm not exactly what you call a "social butterfly". So there's that, and when I DO make a friend, I'm not exactly eagar to share with them the fact I'm a Brony, because I'm afraid they'll make fun of me or something, and I would like at least some friends (and its's super hard right now since I'm at a new school, and it takes me a while to make friends.)
One last thing, there is one main reason I love MLP: it gives me somewhere amazing to escape to. My life's not exactly perfect. It great and all, but there are quite a few times when I need to escape from my life. My favorite place to go is Equestria. I love to imagine myself as my OC, Black Mist. I like to make up little adventures in my head. I love having friends I know I can count on to be there, even if they are just in my head.
Anyway, that's my story, hope you enjoyed it. ;)
