a/n: this is bit long, sorry
I put my bag down and sat in a free chair, my back facing the door and felt two hands go over my eyes while I waited for class to start.
'Guess who...' The voice said
'Hm... Is it... your mom?' I said with a laugh.
'No silly, it's me, Eddie.' He replied with a laugh.
'Oh hey,' I told him
He gave me a warm smile, and I swear I melted right there on the spot.
There was no one in class yet, since we were both 5 minutes early. I preferred to get to class early, just to enjoy the silence and be left alone with my own thoughts.
silence
'Do you... know how to play any instruments?' I asked
'Yeah, I do. Do you?' He asked, sitting on the piano seat.
'Maybe,' I told him in response 'show me something!'
'Okay...'He said nervously, readjusting his position on the seat. He wriggled his fingers, then placed his right hand on the white keys and his left hand on black keys.
I tried to figure what song he was playing but I couldn't. After about a minute or two, he lifted his hands and looked at me.
'Wow Eds... I mean, that was great! Where did you learn how to play like that?'
'I'm self-taught. Now it's your turn!! Show me what you can do.' He said excitedly, a smile on his adorable face.
'I mean, I know a few chords...' I said shyly, grabbing a guitar from the rack beside me.
'Ooooh, show me show me show meee!!'
I placed the guitar on my knee and started playing one of the songs I learnt when I was younger.
*the song is 'Here Comes the Sun' by The Beatles fyi*
I steadied my shaking hands and placed my fingers on the correct chords.
Eddie immediately picked it up and joined in on the piano. We played a few notes, then Eddie opened his mouth.
'Here comes the sun,'
(doo doo doo doo)
'Here comes the sun and I say-'
'-it's alright,' I cut him off with a smile but he didn't seem to mind.
'Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter,' his voice was soft, just like summer rain. It was beautiful.
'Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here..' I moved closer to him and he looked at me with a grin on his face, then turned his attention back to the piano.
'Here comes the sun, doo doo doo doo,' we sang simultaneously.
'Here comes the sun...'
closer
'...and I say...'
closer
'...it's alright...'
closer
He took his hands off the piano and looked into my eyes. I pushed a soft curl off his eyes and he held my face in his hands. I'm not sure which one of us did it first, but we both leaned in, and I felt a sudden spark in my chest, as well as Eddie's soft lips on mine.
