Scarlet's quirk is that she can read minds. As hard as she tries she usually can't turn it off or control it. So she walks around hearing everyone's thoughts and opinions. Because of her quirk, she had lost many friends. It's not that they knew her quirk and didn't like her for it, it was that they didn't know her quirk and had very different opinions about her then they displayed. She doesn't make friends easily and isn't very open to accepting help. She feels she can do it all by herself, she figures she doesn't need anyone. Her mother died when she was four and she was left with her abusive father. He blamed her for her mother's death and soon started drinking again. After a few years, he killed himself leaving Scarlet all alone. She learned how to get around on her own and she had temporary jobs to keep up with the rent. She went to a crappy school in a crappy neighborhood. She rarely slept which many people who passed by her concerned for her. It wasn't that she didn't want to sleep or that she had Insomnia, It was that it was incredibly difficult for someone to fall asleep hearing about every problem people had. She didn't care that they had the problem the only thing she cared about was that it was preventing her from sleeping. Though, she couldn't go to there houses and say 'Stop thinking I'm trying to sleep' that would be weird and creepy. So she lays in her bed drowning in different thoughts and not many were her own.
