Author's note:
Hello, guys! Sorry for not posting in a while, but I've been pretty bussy. But now my next few weeks are dissapointingly empty, except for online classes and all that stuff. So I hope to update a lot on here, so I'll stop stalling and let you read chapter five of Cam Valdez and the Lost Origins! (Credit to the artists above)

I felt dead. My muscles were sore even though I wasn't moving, my head throbbed, and my butt felt like I'd sat on nothing but horseback for a week. (Oh wait, that actually had happen.) My ears buzzed with bird chatter, the distant clashing of metal, and conversation did not help my head feel any better.
Warm summer sun lay like a blanket across my face. Other than the fact of my aching body, I was more at ease than I'd been in weeks, years even. I was laying on the comfiest bed I'd ever been on, though with only a sheet but that was okay since it was already hot in the morning… was it even morning? Who knew how long I was out, considering my last black out was around midnight. I might've been able to figure out about what time it was if I knew a few more factors like how far Will and Nico had to carry me and which way the window was facing that let the sun in, but other things were asking for attention.
So with my eyes still closed, I started eavesdropping."I don't get why you're so worried, Nico," came the voice of Will Solace, Nico's boyfriend. "Cam seems fine to me, uh, I mean fine as in 'not dangerous' fine, not health wise. She's got a weird head thing, not a concussion but she keeps passing out. And it's practically impossible to feed her ambrosia when she's passed out, she keeps gagging on it."
"I just don't trust her," replied Nico's voice. "And just consider the circumstances, Will! A strange girl shows up with the last name Valdez in the middle of the night with the most magical weapon I've seen since Kronos's scythe, and she looks like a long haired replica of Leo Valdez, and she tells us the weirdest backstory of all time!"
"Well, most people wouldn't consider being from 1933 a 'normal' backstory, would they?" Will countered. "And Valdez is a pretty common last name."
Nico growled in frustration with his boyfriend. "There are more things than just her backstory. I-I've been having dreams about Leo."
"Nico, are you cheating on me with Leo?" Will joked.
"First of all, after that comment I might just go back to liking Percy, even though he's not my type. Second, even the idea of dating someone like Leo gives me nightmares," Nico said sighed exasperatedly. "and three, I would never cheat on you."
I was tempted to either let out an aaaaw! or barf, but I knew both of those would alert the boys to me being awake and that I had overheard their conversation. And I wanted to stay unknown for the moment, 'cause when you hear people gossiping about you it's impossible not to listen. So, like the good spy I am, I let them carry on.
"Ah…" Will sighed. "I knew you loved me deep down."
"Shut up, Solace. You know what I meant. In my dreams Captain Annoyance is always in an empty room trying to warn somebody about something. In my last dream he kept saying, 'She has to much power. She needs the other piece. Must warn them. Trying to take over the world. Must find my sister, but trapped, still trapped.' He honestly sounds insane..."
There was silence. I remembered my dream from my first night as a runaway, about Hephaestus and how he said I had a brother. Did this Leo Valdez have anything to do with that? My head throbbed slightly when I tried to put my muddled mind in too many places at once.
