Hoseok's Perspective:
I had taken Jimin's advice and spread the message about the cat, but it had been almost a week and no one had said anything at all. Some people wanted to buy him but I denied of course. He could still have a family, but I was beginning to doubt it since I'd gotten no messages.
This cat was really weird. He didn't want to eat cat food (wet or dry). I was scared he'd starve so I fed him some of my own cooked meat. I'd never seen a cat so picky.
I was lying on my bed with my computer. It was Saturday so I had a break from school stuff for now. When my mental health was alright I liked watching dance tutorials and music videos.
Music was one of the few things that could comfort me and even then that wasn't enough sometimes. I knew I needed to see a therapist and possibly even take medication, but I doubted I could afford it. Admittedly, I don't have good coping skills. I let things take over me and get out of hand until I hurt myself.
The cat jumped up on the bed and sat next to me. He stared at my laptop and watched the woman on the screen play piano. I laughed and stroked him between the ears. "You can watch, too."
Yoongi's perspective:
I was lucky that this guy, Hoseok, liked the same types of things as me. I didn't care much about dance, but I loved music. Getting to watch a pianist was exciting for me, but honestly it made me sad. Obviously, I wouldn't be able to play now.
My head drooped and I turned away.
Hoseok looked down at me, "What's wrong, buddy?"Opening my mouth, I looked up at him to reply. Once again I'd forgotten I couldn't do that. Hoseok pet me on my back. "Do cats like music?"
I watched as Jung Hoseok reached over and grabbed an acoustic guitar that was leaning against the wall. He rested it on his lap and strummed the strings lightly. He played chords that formed into a progression and started to sing. I recognized the song and it was one of my favorites.
He started playing faster and singing louder as the chorus started. His mouth turned into a smile as he looked at me. Without even realizing, I'd swayed my head and waved my tail to the beat. Admittedly, he was such a good singer.
When the song was over and Hoseok had strummed the final note, he grinned and burst out laughing. "You're so funny!" He said running his fingers through my soft fur. "Such a sweet kitty."
This guy was a bit obnoxious but at least he was nice to me. I'd always had a tendency to distance myself from everyone. I wasn't much of a people person and preferred to be alone.
People even considered me rude because I'm so introverted. Admittedly, at times I have ignored people's feelings and hurt people that way. Maybe I was too blunt. Being in the situation I am now, I couldn't help but feel as if I was being taught a lesson.
Hoseok put the guitar back against the wall. He leaned back against the headrest against a pillow and went back on his computer.
Hoseok's perspective:
Seeing a notification, I clicked on my email and saw that it was a message from my school. It read:
"Attention students, there are reports of a missing freshman student. His apartment, down the road from campus, was discovered with no signs of a struggle. We are asking you to keep a watch out for him. His name is Min Yoongi. He has white/silver hair and brown eyes."
"Isn't he in my music appreciation class? He's missing?" I said out loud and looked away for a second. Looking back to the screen, I muttered, "Min Yoongi is his name?"
A sudden white shape appeared by my leg. I look down and see the cat looking at the screen intently. His eyes were wide as if he was scared, but I couldn't imagine of what. "What's up?" I asked.
The cat looked up at me and back to the laptop. He meowed. Smiling gently I spoke, "Sorry, I don't speak cat."
The white cat seemed to quietly hiss after hearing me. It's so quiet I could barely hear it, though. I spoke again, "Maybe that guy will be alright."
I remembered seeing him every so often at school. He always stayed by himself, like myself I suppose, and seemed to ignore anyone's attempt to befriend him. Maybe he was rude. Personally I'm not a fan of much social interaction either, though.
I closed the computer and swung my legs around the side of the bed, standing up. Walking to the kitchen, I heard the cat jump down from the bed. I turned around and looked down at him standing by me. "Are you hungry, too?"
He meowed.
"Okay I'll see what we can eat." I said walking to the refrigerator and then opening the door. I decided on leftover pizza. I took the box out of the fridge and heated it in the oven.
When it was done, I got a plate out for me and a saucer out for the cat. I pulled all of the meat off of some slices and put it on the saucer and put two different slices on the plate.
I walked over to my table and sat down as the cat jumped up in the chair next to me as usual. I smiled as I placed his food on the chair. This was a normal thing for us. Like I said, he's a weird cat.
I stroked my hand down his back a few times before turning around and eating my own food. "Eat up sugar." I said absentmindedly. I looked down at the white cat carefully eating his pizza toppings. "That's a cute name. Your name can be Sugar!"
The cat looked up at me with pizza sauce on his chin as I grinned and chuckled loudly, "Sugar, you've got pizza sauce on your face!"
Sugar clumsily looked down at his chin as if he was trying to see and licked it away. He seemed so smart, but I knew cats were anyway.
I could get used to living like this.
