A tiny, periwinkle-haired girl was in her room watching heroes on the television when she heard yelling downstairs. She walked down the stairs and peeked from behind a wall, watching. Her parents were fighting, she scurried back upstairs, crawled down the window and started walking to her friend, Jun Hattori's, house.
Jun's house wasn't far from her own. It was only several blocks away, and the route was familiar to her. Most people would be rather scared to go out alone, at least at her age. It didn't take very long for the girl to arrive at Jun's door. She knocked gingerly on the domineering wooden door. After a few seconds she could hear the typical din from inside Jun's abode. After a mere moment of rustling, the bluenette was greeted by Jun's witty older brother. She looked at him and smiled, "Can I see Jun, please?" Jun's brother, Daisuke, put his finger to his chin and hummed. He looked to be pondering.
"Hmm, Jun? I think she went to some happy pink princess dream land," he smirked. It didn't take but a second for Jun to arrive, angry. She pushed Daisuke out of the way and smiled down at her.
"Hey Jun." She smiled "can I stay here for a while?" the girl flicked her tail.
Jun chuckled, "hi Sakura-chan, why? What's up?"
"Nothing much, my parents are fighting again" Sakura walked inside and slipped her shoes off at the door. Jun fetched some extra slippers (in Sakura's size) from a nearby closet. She tossed the slippers to the smaller girl. In the background, Daisuke stumbled up from the floor and made his way from the mudroom to the living room.
"You can stay here tonight, I'll get the guest bed ready."
Sakura smiled faintly, "thanks, Jun-onē." Jun only nodded as a reply.
Jun couldn't sleep that night. She crawled out of bed and made her way to the front door quietly, careful not to wake up Sakura or Daisuke. She quickly changed her shoes, swung on her jacket and left the house. Jun strolled around outside for a bit, moving from streetlight to streetlight in the pitch black. She would be lying if she said that she wasn't scared. I mean, who wouldn't be? Her hands were cold and clammy, and her breath trembled. She was walking around in the dead of night, alone. She felt all the hair on the back of her neck rise when she entered a more heavily populated area--the city. The city was always dangerous- even in the light of day. That being said, being there in the middle of the night didn't bode well for her. Her nerves acted up every time she passed by an alleyway. She intentionally sped up at each one she stumbled across. At one specific alleyway that was completely shrouded in a blanket of darkness, she paused. Unlike the rest of the passageways, she felt the presence of another person. Suddenly, a hand struck out and snatched her neck in a four-finger clutch. A voice came close to her ear. Too close.
"What's a girl like you doing out here at this time?" Jun could feel his hot breath against the back of her neck.
She sucked in a sudden, shaky breath, "Let me go." Jun waited a moment, but she was still in his grasp. She knew that if she didn't do something, and fast, he was going to do something to her. He was going to do something bad. She didn't know what, but she didn't let the thought linger for too long, afraid of the possibilities. In a panic, she decided she had no other choice but to use her quirk on him. Steadying her voice, Jun began to sing a soft, sweet harmony. She serenaded the man, who was now caught under her trance. Once she had finished her song, she tensed up.
"Let me go. Now," she ordered. As Jun expected, he did what she said without a moment's hesitation. After backing away from him, she snapped, releasing him from her quirk.
Now that she could see her perpetrator, she observed every last detail of him, just in case she needed to report him to the police. If she even survives to tell the police. 'Stop thinking that way, Jun.' She thought to herself, mentally face-palming. He was clad in black, and his skin a pasty white. His lips were badly chapped, and large scratch marks (not deep enough to be considered lacerations- but still deep) streaked down his neck, from his jaw to the base of the collarbone. His hair was slightly overgrown-and in dire need of a haircut and styling, and yet the color was a beautiful periwinkle blue to contrast the messiness. To top off his already terrifying look, his eyes were a petrifying crimson red. A lack of sleep showed in and around them in the form of bags and eye redness.
"What a powerful quirk," he snickered. Jun guffawed.
"We could use players like you." He inquired, waiting for her response. He observed her face for any mannerisms or idiosyncrasies.
"We?" she remarked, her eyes narrowed and her brows furrowed together in suspicion.
"Yes, we, I'm putting together a group of villains" he put his hands in his hoodie.
"What's it to me? Who said I even want to be a villain, let alone be in your group," she growled snobbishly.
"Well what are you gonna do with your quirk?? Be a hero? You're better off a villain," he shrugged.
Jun contemplated the offer, she hadn't ever given much thought as to what she wanted to be. And, after all, she did just use her quirk on a stranger- albeit in self-defense. If she turned him in for assault and villainy she'd be reprimanded for public quirk usage. Besides, being a villain- in all honesty -couldn't be that bad, right? She could use her quirk, do what she wanted, and protect Sakura and Daisuke. Probably even get paid whilst doing so. What else would she need?
"Alright, I'll join your little clique."
"That's a good decision. My name is Tomura Shigaraki. Welcome to the League of Villains." He smiled, smirk laced with malice and mirth.
