Me and my family were getting ready to go to Arizona. I was extremely sad but my dad got a really big promo so we were going to get more money, so I didn't really care. As my parents were getting in the car to go to the airport I smelled and touched Maine one last time.
"Come on!" My dad said while starting the car. "I know this might be hard for you, leaving Kelsey, Casey, school you've been going for five years, a house that you've lived in since you were born, but I'm going to start making $460,000!" Dad said while putting the suitcases in the trunk. "I know... this is just heartbreaking" I said.
Me and my dad gave each other a hug and went in the car. I put on my AirPods, listened to girl in red and looked outside the car window. Mom wanted to save sleep for the plane ride so she didn't fall asleep in the car. My parents were completely silent. I assumed it was because this was hard for them and it was a surreal thing.
(Airport) we got off of the car and we went to go get some food from the cafeteria. Airport food is so gross, I thought. We still got food though. "What do you want?" My mom asked. I told her I just wanted water and some chips.
We ate, took some pictures and we went to leave. "Oh! This is so crazy! I can't believe we're leaving Maine?!?" Dad said. My mom started crying and she grabbed some tissues.
"Tickets?" The airport person said. My dad handed the tickets to him and we left. We got economy seats since it was just a one trip thing and we would get over it. I got the seat close to the window, mom in the middle, and dad next to the aisle. It was great.
(Arizona)
We arrived in Arizona. Our new "home" It was hot, dusty, and had a lot of rocks. "How do you like it?" Mom said. "It's fine" I replied. "You'll like it one day" she patted my solider and went inside our new house. We lived in Chandler, Arizona since it's the "safest area to raise children"The movers moved our boxes in while we were resting. "Aahhh" my dad said while he laid on the couch. "Can you set up our beds?" My mom asked the movers. "Sorry ma'am we don't do that" "here's $2,000" the poor guys took the money and started setting up our beds.
Dad ordered pizza and we put a movie on. We watched Gilmore Girls for some reason, it was a pretty good night in Arizona. The movers left and we immediately went to bed after such a long day of sitting for hours we didn't even unpack our stuff.
While my parents went to bed I started to quietly set my room up. I made my bed, put Netflix on, and took a shower. I felt like sponge bob when he does a 24hr shift and he says "I did this! At night" but instead mine is Arizona.
I got out of the shower and laid on my bed and thought about my new school. How will it be? Will I have bullies? Will I have friends? I started to get nervous so I just took a nap while Sex education was playing.
6:30 am
*Alarm going off*
Ugh. I knew it was time to get up. I got up and rubbed my eyes, then a few seconds I realized it was my first day at a new school. After I realized that, my anxiety went flying to the sky.My heart was pumping, my cheeks burned, and I started to sweat. Every time I have a panic attack my body gets hyper and my mind starts to scatter everywhere. I rushed to the bathroom to get my clothes, I grabbed my towel, my shoes-
*Knock Knock*
"Come in!" I said. "Good morning buddy. I just want to wish you a good day at school today"
"Thanks mom" "try to make friends okay?"
"Okay" mom gave me a hug and left the room.
Dad was already at work and mom left to work. I was all alone in a new house. I did NOT want to walk to school.*30 minutes later*
I got out of the house to go to school. I looked everywhere around me. I observed the new area. As I started to walk I see a group of kids and I kind of get nervous. They were loud and they looked obnoxious. I take a deep breath and I just walk to get it over with.I walk kind of slow to avoid them but the group of kids just randomly stop. "Ugh why did they stop" I thought. Now I HAD to pass by them. I put on my airpods and my hoodie.
I sped walked and when I passed them I was relieved until... "HEY!" A girl says. I look back confused. "Come over here!" I awkwardly go to them hoping they were taking to me cus if they weren't that would be embarrassing.
"Do you go to Kingston?" "Yeah, it's my first day" "what?! We go there! Do you want to walk with us?" "Um yeah, I- I guess." It was a group of four. It was a white girl, a Mexican girl, a white guy, and a Mexican guy. But the white guy caught my attention when we looked at each other.
He had curly light caramel hair, ocean blue eyes, a thin nose, full lips, and was 5'11. I fell for him fast. But I stopped because, he's probably straight, but it felt good seeing a hot guy. I was excited to see how my life was going to go after I saw him.
I'm 14 years old so please don't judge if this is bad writing. Hope you liked it!
