Crush - Taekook

chapter - 6

Jungkook kept his promise. The following Tuesday - Taehyung and Jimin were about an hour into studying - the younger approached their table. The two boys didn't notice him right away - they were busy arguing about some math problem.

"Hey", he half-whispered, making them almost jump. Taehyung looked up, seeing Jungkook standing on the opposite side of the table smiling showing his bunny teeth. He was wearing a Over sized black sweater and ripped tight jeans that hugged his thighs deliciously. Taehyung couldn't help but stare maybe a second too long. "Hey Jungkook, I thought today is your day off ? Don't tell me you Can't get enough of your work place?" He lightly teased.

Jungkook rolled his eyes and grinned. "I just came here to ask are you free for that coffee I promised? I thought we could walk over to Starbucks together since it's not raining for once."

Taehyung suddenly felt like the world around them stopped. Jungkook really did want to go get coffee with him again. Ofcourse He had hoped wished the younger would get back to him, but he had not expected the younger to remember his promise and let alone come to him all the way on his day off to ask him to coffee.

Taehyung's heart felt like it may explode with how hard it's beating against his chest.

Realising he didn't answered the younger's question he wanted to scream FUCKING YES I WANNA GO WITH YOU but Jimin beat him to it.

"Taehyungie, you can't leave me alone with this shitty project now. I need your brain power!"

Taehyung stared him down. If looks would kill then Park Jimin would've drop Dead on the floor by now.
Moments of silence passed. Taehyung planning all the possibilities of Killing his best friend inside his head and all the while Jimin trying his bestest to not to burst out laughing because of the look his best friend was giving. He looked like a betrayed Anime character.

Jungkook oblivious of the scene infront of him but confused as the two acting strangely, cleared his throat."um, it's ok we can go some other time" he said. Taehyung snapped his head back and quickly made his way to the younger while shaking his head rapidly "No, it's okay we can go to coffee, the project is due to next week anyway right Jiminie" he glared at his now ex best friend as he challenged to say other wise. He wouldn't let his now ex best friend ruin his love life. "Yeah, you guys can go I just remembered that I need to meet someone" Jimin said taking Pity on his Best friend. And he didn't Want to get murdered before he even get a chance to kiss Yoongi. He is too young to die anyway.

However Jungkook just dragged a chair beside Jimin and sat down.

Taehyung watched in amusement as Jungkook took the book out of Jimin's hand and quickly read through the page, eyebrows drawn together and the tip of his pink tounge peeking out slightly.He looked incredibly sexy when he was concentrating.

"Alright so, what's the matter you need the help with ?" he asked in a soft voice.

Jimin looked a little shocked too but quickly recovered and explained his doubt.

Jungkook took another paper and started writing the problem while explaining. It was indeed easily solved. Taehyung and Jimin just stared in amusement as the younger finished with a proud that's it. Few seconds of silence later Jimin sighed loudly while clapping his hands happily. "Now I can die in peace." He glanced at his watch, suddenly panicked. "Or not, I really have to meet someone in five minutes. See you later, guys! Thanks Jungkookie" And he dashed off.

"So, about that coffee...?" Taehyung asked, smiling softly at Jungkook.

"As soon as you've put the books back hyung. I am a very strict librarian."

Taehyung couldn't hold back a giggle. Jungkook took a huge encyclopaedia near by and raised the book in a threatening gesture. "I can prove it, if you like", he said in a mock-angry voice.

Taehyung threw up his arms as to show he is surrendered " Have mercy on me" he cried out. The two of them laughed together until a dark-haired girl who was looking for something on a shelf next to them shushed them. Jungkook looked at her disapprovingly. "I am the librarian here, I can laugh as much as I want, thank you Jenny."

The girl named Jenny looked annoyed and wanted to say something but shut her mouth and turned and walked away grumbling.

Seeing Taehyung's shocked expression Jungkook laughed again " she is in my grade and we don't get well along with eachother, I hate that girl" he explained.

A few minutes later, they were both wearing their coats and walking side by side towards the coffee shop. The air was crisp and smelled of snow. December was only days away, and Taehyung loved snow. so he was hoping for the flakes to start falling soon.

"God I wish it would snow", Jungkook said just then, his doe eyes looking up at the heavy clouds. Taehyung looked at him, eyes wide. "I literally just had the same thought"

The younger turned to smile at him. "I knew there was a reason I like spending time with you"

Taehyung tried not to interpret too much into this sentence for the sake of his poor sanity and tried to change the topic. "Your sister seems really nice." Jungkook rolled his eyes. "She said the same thing about you and asked me to find out if you were straight and single."

Taehyung laughed nervously. "You're kidding, right?"

Jungkook Just grinned. "Well, she didn't say it like that. But seriously, do you have a girlfriend?"

Taehyung too shocked to answer just shook his head. Jungkook suddenly stopped walking. Taehyung only noticed after two steps or so and then turned around, facing the younger. Jungkook was biting his lower lip, his eyes huge, like a puppy's. "I really didn't w-wanna make you uncomfortable Hyung, I'm sorry I shouldn't have a-asked"

Taehyung looked a second longer at the adorable younger who was stumbling with his own words and started walking backwards. He stopped right infront of the younger and took his hands "it's okay Jungkookie, but it looks like you owe me another coffee date to make this up for me" He winked grinning and Jungkook smiled before they resumed walking.
