After entering the classroom, he didn’t expect a forceful punch to land on his face, which caused him to fall to the ground. “That’s for calling her that stupid name!” exclaimed Chara, to whom the fist that landed on his cheekbone belonged. She still glared at the skeleton, watching him trying to stand, still holding his cheekbone. ‘You, ok?’ a voice called out in his head, its owner attempting to help him up.

“Yeah, no need to worry, Honey. Just got boned.” he shrugged, but chuckled. However, the mention of the nickname, only added fuel to Chara’s fiery eyes, which earned him yet another punch, and back to the ground again. “How dare you talk like that to my sister! I trusted you!”

“Do I have to tell the whole school a mamillionth time?! I said it doesn’t even mean a freakin’ thing!” growled Sans, finally pissed up. Besides, is calling her ‘Honey’ really a big deal?! (Yes, Sans. Yes, it is.)

Things were heating up a notch. The tension between the two friends seem to grow in every second they glare at each other. Thank Asgore, however, Asriel intervened, breaking the ice. “Hey, Chara. He really meant that. It doesn’t mean anything, love, insult, whatsoever. So just drop it off, everyone is watching. Besides, he still has that detention hour later this day. Isn’t that win-win for us?” Asriel shrugged, trying to calm his sister down.

Sans, however, was still a bit hostile from being annoyed early in the morning. And he’s angry, not because of irritation, but because of… Confusion? He never really saw this side of Chara before. He was sure she was a pure pacifist, but right after arriving to the surface, she seemed to act so, different. Hostile. What made her change so fast?

He wasn’t done with this matter yet, and he was still thinking of a payback, when a small hand suddenly reached for his shoulder, distracting him from Chara. ‘That must’ve hurt. Can you stand?’ the soft voice that invaded his thoughts since yesterday, worriedly asked. He turned to face the human who was still holding him. Her eyes may be closed, but he knows it is filled with concern. He gave her a reassuring smile, “I’m fine. Ya don’t have to worry that much about me.”

They both looked at Chara, who now gave them an ick-face, saying, “Yeesh. Your bond grows fast every time you understand each other. What a mess this is!” she shrugged, then sighed, “But I can’t say I could keep you two apart from each other. You and Papyrus are the only ones who could understand what she wants by now.”

After hearing those words unexpectedly filled Sans with joy. Of course, they don’t know that since its inside of him. But being happy because he couldn’t be away with some girl you just met, is weird. He’d say this is bad. ‘No. Way.’ are the words that came out of his thoughts. This strange feeling, all felt both good and bad. Glad, and scared. His feelings, he couldn’t understand. He tried to stop himself but cannot. This could only mean one thing.

‘Sans…’ he thought, ‘Stop this, this instance…’

‘You just met her.’

‘And besides…’

‘She won’t like you back’

-------------------------------------------------------------

What Chara said, she didn’t expect her to say that. We know Sans is happy with it, but she doesn’t even know that. She wouldn’t understand how he felt by now, and neither can he understand her. Unlike Sans, she was afraid. Afraid that the more they grow closer to each other, the more he’d find out not just the truth, but everything. And that everything, will be the cause of both his wrath for her, and worse; his death.

“I guess ‘Honey’ is the right name after all!” a deep chuckle interrupted her thoughts, “We’d be sticking around each other anyways.” he added, winking, which made her give a nervous chuckle. The siblings, however, are not even a bit amused by his pun.

“This ain’t some joke, Sans. We have faith in you to watch over our sister. If anything bad happens to her, I’m gonna clobber you!” barked Chara, in warning.

“And we will be the ones judging your actions.” Added Asriel, crossing his arms.

Judge?” the skeleton smirked, “Don’t make me laugh. I’ll be the one judging myself, le contraire, you don’t even have the right and authority to overpower me. Besides, who’s gonna judge…” he paused, pointing his skeletal thumb at himself, “The judge?”

But the two Dreemurrs are not taunted by his words, “Ho ho, don’t overestimate yourself for too much, skelly boy! Don’t forget, we’re in school. You’re not the one who makes the rules here.” exclaimed Chara, giving him a stern look of hostility.

And after that threat, the two marched back to their seats, leaving Frisk and the skeleton behind.
‘So, uh, judge?’ she asked in her thoughts.

“It’s a long story. But long story short, I was, or still am the Judge of the Underground.” he shrugged in reply. The judge of monsters, huh? What does that mean?

“We’ll talk more later. Right now, we better take our seats ‘cause our class is about to start.” said Sans, grabbing Frisk by the hand, and pulled her to their seats. They were still gripping each of others hands, when the teacher arrived.

‘Sans?’ she whispered, noticing his fingers still linked into hers.

“Hm?” he said, alerted looked down at their hands, and quickly pulled it away, “Oh, ah, sorry.” he muttered, his cheekbones dusted in blue. Every time he does that… He looked adorable---Damn it, Frisk. She always says that to herself, whenever she thinks of such things. It was a wonder how she was able to block such thoughts away from Sans. He’ll never even understand how you feel towards him.

Whenever she thinks of him in such a way, she noticed how funny it was to actually talk like Chara to herself. Lecturing herself with a million complaints. Of course, to her, this is normal. Normal to have feelings towards your own best friend… Back in the past, that is. Especially when he’s a male. But now, she couldn’t stand it. Everything hurts soo much. And scolding herself didn’t help her much.

‘Don’t even dream of liking him.’

‘You have no right.’

‘Are you not ashamed for yourself?’

‘Do you not understand?’

‘Why can’t you just stick that to your head?’

‘He’ll never be yours.’

‘And you’ll never be his.’

‘Do I have to remind you thrice a day to know why you cannot?’

‘You killed his brother, so why even hope of having him?’
