okay so i really want to know what yall think abt this--
i really like using y/n in my fanfictions, personally one of the reason is that you can really throw yourself in the fanfiction as an actual character on the other hand having a chosen name (like for example lee yeonrin or park hyewon etc etc etc) it feels like u cant get emotionally invested in a book that way??
i always find myself not reading fanfictions (if its like seungmin x reader btw ahah) if i already have a chosen name
idk if its just me but its always been that way for me both on wattpad and instagram
like i really like using y/n a lot and so i never plan to use an actual name so ahahha

how do yall feel when writers use other kpop idols as a character for example;;
Somi as a bully
Irene as your sister
Taehyung as your father
Jungkook as your younger brother
Lee Know as the class flirt
smth like that,, idk i find it hilarious when if its family like i mentioned irene as my sister and taehyung as my dad omg imagine what a visual child i would be i would have taehyung's visuals and i would be associated with irene's visual omg omg omg omg-
anyways yeah, just want to hear ur opinion on this sdskjdks
((also because u use y/n or u use names, or you use other kpop idols as a character in your book, doesn't automatically mean its bad its just a opinion of mine ahahha <33))
