emma cedor was the last person anyone would've thought would ended up on the dark side. a girl who made jokes any chance she got could never end up causing pain to others daily. yet, after being stranded by her parents and the death of her aunt and uncle, emma was seduced. no where to turn, but to darkness. the dark side was not as lonely as emma thought it would be though. over time she even made friends and got far in storm-trooper training. until one day changed everything.

emma's pov :

the lights flickered on in the small room i occupied on the finalizer, signaling that my day was to begin now. i sat up in my cot and sighed, no matter how much time i spent on the finalizer i would never get used to the early mornings. i had been a storm-trooper for about a year and i hated it. so many of them, all looking the same. who even cared about me? i meant just as much as the next storm-trooper, but i didn't have time to think about how much i hated my life, not this morning. i had shit to do. i rose from my bed and began to put on my uniform, today was my favorite kind of day. since i was training a small group of storm-troopers i got to go to comander hux and report the training details. i hated hux, but at least i got to put on a semi-decent uniform. my uniform cosseted of a loose black dress with a cropped white jacket. it had a cute little name tag reading "General Ceder" with only one out of five stars on it since i was fairly new to training. i slipped on my shoes as the doors to my room hissed open as i stepped out. every morning i had breakfast in the cafeteria with my friends as it was the only time i got to see them anymore. walking down the halls of the ship it was fairly empty as it was still early most people didn't have places to go this early. i arrived at the cafeteria and also immediately was waved to a table by jana. i quickly took a seat down next to her and anya.

"good morning, general ceder," jana said, giving me a salute. jana, an engineer on the finalizer, was the first friend i made upon arrival. she didn't fit in here to me, too happy, yet apparently to anya she fit right in.

"shut up," i replied rolling my eyes. jana gave me a laugh in return before turning her attention back to her plate. my favorite days, happened to be jana's least. she spent today shoved up the main engineer's ass trying to be trained to take their place. anya was the next to greet me.

"morning emma," she spoke tiredly. anya was mostly involved with storage and keeping up with firearms. she was very good at her job, she was smarter than i could ever be. i envied her for that, she hadn't been on the finalizer for long and i knew she would be promoted soon. i gave her a tiny wave, as she slid a plate over to me. "more shitty food, but when do we get anything good?" anya sighed.

"never, once you've stayed here long enough you stop expecting anything good," i spoke grumpily. as i finished my sentence two more bodies sat at our table. ophina and lydia, both also in charge of training stormtroopers. they mostly worked on the lower levels of stormtroopers, orphina was very intelligent and lydia was one of the best fighters we had. we all exchanged 'good morning' and then started mindless conversations while eating.

"wait where is bria?" lydia asked, "she's going to be late to her meeting with hux, again." oh yes, bria. bria was more of an independent soul. this did not help her on most occasions. bria was the main commander of stocks and storage, so she met with hux weekly and was late to almost every one of them.

"when is she ever not late?" ophina asked, picking at her plate that anya had also provided for her. bria was a brave soul for testing hux's patience. way braver than me. we all knew he couldn't fire her though, no one wanted her job, it was boring work, but work that needs to be done nonetheless.

"honestly, i hate meeting with hux too, but i would never be late to one of his meetings," i said trying to force some food down my throat. almost like it was a cue bria strutted her way to our table. she sat down beside lydia with an audible 'oof'.

"glad you finally decided to show up.' i nagged almost, getting a smile in return. bria scoffed and began picking off of others plates for food.

"i already met with hux actually." she stated, dropping some of the "food" into her mouth. what? bria bell had met with her commander during meeting hours? this had to be a glitch in the system. "he's in a shitty ass mood too," i  tilted my head in confusion, "apparently snoke asked for a bunch of the meetings to be changed and shit, like some generals have to meet with commander ren instead." she finished, propping her feet on the table.

"commander ren? the angry baby?" jana asked, getting a shove in return from anya. the comment caused giggles around the table, but anya remained serious.

"commander ren is fucking scary, i've seen him face to face. he has no emotions i swear," anya stated leaning back in her chair. before we could further the conversation jana's walkie-talkie rang.

"ms. henderson you're needed for training on floor 3"  jana groaned and stood up. she waved off to us and responded to the call with a quick 'roger that'. i checked the large clock that hung above the cafeteria with a sigh, i had about 30 minutes to report to commander hux.

"well i guess i'm off too, it takes me a minute to get to hux with these short ass strides," i said with a light laugh. everyone at the table bid me a farewell and i was off. the halls were dark, as always, but had begun to fill with random people going to their various duties. the finalizer was a beautiful ship, i just wish the mood wasn't always so serious. what can you expect on the "dark" side though? commander hux wasn't too far away and i was able to reach his shuttle fairly quickly. the doors hissed open and i was met with a dark room, a large desk sat in the center of the room. the desk was matte black and so black you could see your reflection if you were stood over it. a large chair doomed over the desk, making the commander sat in it almost look tiny. as i walked in he never rose his eyes to meet me, he continued to study whatever work sat on his desk.

"good morning ceder." he spoke with no emotions. i wondered how he realized it was me with his face still remaining on his desk.

"good morning commander." i spoke while sitting down in front of him. i began to start to get my data together in order to give it to him.

"ms. ceder, im afraid i have some possibly upsetting news." his eyes now met mine. panic filled my bloodstream, what had i done? i couldn't think of anything.

"you've been transferred to commander ren."
