Seán ran into a closed room of the unfamiliar house. This was upstairs so hopefully nobody would follow him. He closed the door behind him and almost screamed. A girl was asleep in a corner, seemingly covered in blood and bruises. On closer inspection, it seemed to be Jessica. He shook the girl gently, seeing her eyes slowly open and quickly flashing panic.
"Seán! What are you doing up here?" She asked curiously, looking at the door. "Nothing. What happened? Why are you all bruised up?" He asked her, watching as she hesitated before talking. "Nothing, just some dude I know and his friend," She laughed quietly, wincing in pain. "That's not something to laugh about!-" He was cut of by the door swinging open. He caught a glimpse of the fear in Jessica's eyes as he turned to see Erin looking extremely angry, although his eyes appeared to be glossed over.
As he walked closer, she scooted back. By the time was in front of her, she was pressed as far into the wall as she could possibly be. The other boy tried to step in but stopped after Erin turned to him. "Keep yourself out of it, I would hate to hurt your pretty little head,"
He turned to Jessica, "Come on babe, let's go." He said, grabbing her hand tightly and dragging her out the door and down the stairs. He abruptly stopped once he reached the bottom though, quickly letting go of her. "Oh my god, i'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me." He said, his eyes gaining their normal color as tears started to fall down his face. "I'm really fucking sorry okay? I couldn't physically control myself. How badly did I hurt you?"
Jessica sat there silently in shock. She had never seen Erin cry before, not even the little bit that she was seeing now. She forgave him almost immediately, feeling pity for how torn up he looked. She wrapped her arms around him gently for a few seconds before letting go.
Suddenly, a boy with dreads came out from behind a pillar. "Sorry, but I was kind of eavesdropping on y'all and what you were describing sounds a lot like one of the transfers' powers. He can control someone by touching them. You might've seen him before? Kinda long, curly hair? Glasses? His name is Damian." He said, watching Erin intently for any sign of recognition.
"Yeah. I talked to him earlier. What do you think we should do about it?" Erin said with a nod, any previous signs or tears now gone. "First off, don't let him touch you. Another thing. If he possessed you just to rough you up, you might want to use this," He said to Jessica, handing her a ponytail holder from off his wrist.
"Can I ask why?" She asked, putting her hair in a ponytail as told. "You look exactly like my girlfriend. She passed a few years ago and he wouldn't dare touch anyone that looked like her." He felt a slight pang of sadness as he glanced up at her. She really did look just like Kitland and he didn't like it at all. "Oh. Thank you so much!" She said, giving him a small hug. "My name's Jessica and my boyfriend's Erin. I hope one day we can be friends," She said, leaning against Erin. "I'm Charles and yeah i'll see y'all around. You guys should leave now." He said, waving as the pair agreed and walked out of the house, Erin still profusely apologizing.
Charles walked away, looking down until he almost bumped into Jake. "Hey have you seen this boy with white hair. I need to speak to him." He said, a light blush on his highly freckled face. "Upstairs, in the first room on the right, lover boy." He laughed as Jake punched his arm. "Shut up man." He said with a slight laugh too, walking up the stairs.
Charles hung around for a while longer before leaving the party. It wasn't even that late, but he was bored. The boy walked out of the house, getting into his car and driving home. He had a lot of stuff to think about.
