Arabella's pov/thoughts

"Matt!" I hear Ricky exclaim, though he is hidden behind the body of a tall dirty blond. I stood, awkwardly pushed to the side of their little reunion.

The two boys hug each other before Ricky turns to introduce me. Because of the small space the entry way provided, 'Matt' turned around straight into my chest. I was sent stumbling backwards.

"Woah!" Exasperates the browned-eyed teenager. A black muscle-t covered the top portion of his body, while he wore vibrant swim trunks to cover the rest. He gripped my braceletted arm to keep me from toppling over. Out of instinct, I winced in pain. He didn't let go.

"I'm so sorry!" he told me in a guilty sounding voice. It was hard to tell whether he was being serious or not.

"It's okay." I smiled slightly to make sure he understood, and thankfully he didn't seem like the prodding type. He was shaking my hand with a large smile plastered on his face not a moment later.

"I'm Matt!" Caught off guard by his large hand practically engulfing mine, I stood frozen for a short second before I could actually process what was happening. I tentatively accepted the handshake.

"Arabella," I said to him, trying to make my voice sound normal and somewhat cheery, "but you can call me anything you'd like."

"Alright," he smiled once more, showing off his white teeth. Grabbing my hand, with Ricky following behind us, Matt led us both into the living room. I trailed behind him, about a head or two shorter, being caught in his near-death grip. 5 other surprises sat on the couch in the living room. Assumably, they all turned to look at us as we enetered.

"I have a new best friend!" Matt shouts to break an awkward silence, he holds up our intertwined hands in triumph. My face burns in response to his actions.

Kian, Jc, Connor, and Ricky sit on one of the two couches that currently occupied the living room, while the rest of the group sprawled across the other. I felt like an intruder, with all eyes on me. I'd much rather be huddled in the darkest corner of my room.

"How dare you?!" a black haired boy shrieks, and I flinch as it rang through the room. He shoots a rude glance at me, and I shrink back from my spot standing next to Matt.

"Sorry babe!" Matt blows a kiss in the other boy's direction, and the rest of the group rolls their eyes. No one really acknowledges my presence much after that. Oh well.

Matt tugs my hand slightly and motions for me to sit next to him on the floor. He takes a seat in front of the coffee table, so that he was facing the rest of the guys and could lean his back on the piece of furniture. I copied his actions, not knowing what else to do.

Ricky sat conversing with the 5 other guys that I had yet to lean the names of, while the other 3 (Jc, Connor, and Kian) watched Netflix on the wii console.

"Wait!" Yelled a brunette unexpectedly, causing me to flinch once again. The boy held up his hands in a manner that caused all side conversations to stop. A smile played at his lips. "We never got your name."

All eyes were back on me once more, and I tripped over my words.

"Ar-abella," I chopped. My answer sounded friendly enough, though my stomach was doing flips all-the-while.

"Nice to meet you, Ar-abella," the brunette mocked me playfully, so I smiled in response.

"And you?" I managed to ask confidently. Well, not exactly confidently, but at least I didn't stutter.

"Cameron." His smiled showed a row of straight, shiny teeth. Brown eyes went with his hair and tanned skin. He was wearing a bright tie-dye shirt as well as black swim trunks. Playfully, he shoved the boy to his right to introduce himself.

"Carter," huffed the Asian-looking boy in response. He was the one who had given me the rude look from earlier. He dressed in a grey t-shirt and green swim trunks. The guy to Carter's right spoke up next.

"Nash." A brunette held a hand out for me to shake. Though I had to get up to except the common act or courteously, I shook his hand anyway. Unexpectedly, 'Nash' pulled me in for a hug.

"You looked like you needed one," whispered the blue eyed boy into my hair. One might think this was quite cute, but it was actually really creepy. Just imagine someone you just met reading your emotions and then hugging you in response.

But if I'm going to be honest, that 'Nash' boy is a damn good hugger.

Squeezing back for just a second, I let go shortly after. I had to, to put the other guys out of misery. Matt had screamed out in fake heartbreak as soon as I even shook hands with Nash.

"My Poob!" he yelled, grabbing me unintentionally rough, and pulling me into his chest.

"Poob?" I looked up at him.

"A penis and a boob mixed together," he replied nonchalantly, while I fake gagged. Just then, he turned to me, all of a sudden serious. "I can tell you and I will be best friends." He smiled and a warm feeling grew in my stomach. I smiled back.

"Carrying on," the boy to the right of Nash exasperated, ruining the moment at the same time, "I'm Jack."

"And I'm Jack," added another brunette, who was currently sitting next to the blond, other Jack.

"Well that's easy enough," I smiled to the group. "So what're we doing today?" It was only around 1 in the afternoon, so there was plenty of time to do whatever we pleased.

"Swimming," replied Kian, a smirk dancing on his lips. I could tell by the tinkle in his eye that he didn't mean anything good. My breathing hitched in my throat.

Before I knew, someone had yelled to hold me down, and Kian quickly picked me up from the ground. My brain could barely process anything, as it was all happening too fast. One second I was sat in the living room, the next I was being tossed into a pool. Not to mention, the pool was fucking cold!

The heavy clothes I was wearing did not help my situation; I can't swim.
