These are a few poems I wrote a while ago. At least there supposed to be poems.

SOMETHING ELSE

Why would I want
Something else
When I have all I want?

How could I live differently
When I try to live as God
Tells us to?

The answer is I can't
So why would I try
If I would just fail?

I have all that I want
I will ask for no more.

Not even sitting on a beach
In paradise
For nothing is paradise
Without Christ
For I would trade nothing
For something else.

I have a wonderful family
With people who care
With people who support me
With people who I can rely on
To pick me up
When I fall

So why would I ask
For something else?

This poem talk about how the world tries to pressure us into doing what God tells us not to. Something that spoke to me when reading what I wrote 3 years ago was when it said, "Not even sitting on a beach in paradise," that's saying that we should rather having God than sitting on a beach in Paradise. Where it says, 'For I would trade nothing for something else' that is talking about how without God I have nothing. Without God you have NOTHING. You could have all the money in the world and have nothing. So I would trade this world, all that I have in the world, just for a relationship with Christ.
