Summer was supposed to be at the cafe to work the mid afternoon shift when she realized Melissa her older sister. Still wasn't home from the bank. Summer sighs with frustration when she tried to call her but it just straight to voicemail." Damn it Mel. Where the hell are you?" After hang up Summer tossed her cell on the coffee table and lean back against the couch and ran her hands over her face.
Sitting on the couch quietly watching an western movie with her grandmother Summer looked over at her," Are you cold grandma? Want me to turn off the air conditioner?" Summer asked reaching over to pick up the small remote that was controlling the air conditioner. When her grandmother nods her head . When Summer hit the off button Summer looked over and saw Melissa her older sister walking in,
"Hey I thought you said you would be home early today?" Summer asked with her hands on her hips,
Melissa just shrugged her shoulders,"Yeah sorry little sis. But it got real busy at the bank during the last couple of hours, The lines was backed up to the door with so many people wanting to cash their checks today," Melissa said when she hung her jacket up,
"You could have called you know," Summer protested and scoffed when Melissa just rolled her eyes," Alright I don't have time to argue, I gotta get to the cafe. I am already an hour late and if I get any later then well my boss is gonna fire me. He already threaten to fire me three times."
"Look I already said I was sorry," Melissa said with another shrug taking her seat on the couch."Just go to the cafe and I will take care of grams here." Melissa said with a nod.
Summer sighs softly," Are you sure? I could call mom and have her come home early so she can be here," Summer suggested,
Melissa shook her head," No that won't be necessarily. Just go to the cafe and I will take care of everything,"Shooing Summer out of the door.
Summer snorts and shook her head." Okay I am going," Bye Grandma," Summer said when she gave her a kiss on the cheek and grabs her jacket heading out the door,

Walking towards her locker she looked over and saw her best friend Brenda leading against her locker," What's up with you B?" Summer asked while she put on her apron around her waist. Brenda didn't say anything but just glare at Summer for a moment," Why are you looking at me for?"
"Why am I always getting stuck with your tables?" Brenda asked crossed her arms over her chest still glaring at Summer, Summer scoffed while placing her name tag her shirt,
"You are not always stuck with my tables. I just couldn't get out of the house on time. Melissa was taking forever at the bank since it got backed up when she was trying to get off her shift herself," Hey how pissed off is He?"
"Who? Mr, Carson?" Summer rolled eyes,
"Yeah Mr. Carson." Summer answered when she checked her hair and did an quick brush."So how pissed off was he?"She asked again,
"Well lets just say he threaten to fire you and give all your tips to the rest of the employees,"
Summer snorted after closing her locker," Do you know how many times he has threaten me with that? The guy can't fire me, I am like one of his best waitresses, Not to mention if it wasn't for me, This whole cafe would fall apart,"
" I think Mr,Carson has an little crush on you," Brenda said jokingly when she followed Summer into the front, Summer rolled her eyes when she opened her register to count her money.
" Please he's old enough to be my father and I don't date guys in my father's age,"
Both girls jumped when they heard someone clearing their throat." Hey Mr,Carson," Summer said giving him her best smile, Brenda couldn't help but snort a little," Don't you have tables to get back to?" Mr. Carson asked sternly,
