***Lillian's POV***
I smile softly as I slowly climb out of the bed, making sure to not to make a sound. I look around the room as the morning sun starts to pour in through the cracks in the door. I feel the natural sway of my hips, humming softly to myself, as I walk over to my trunk of clothes to search for a dress for the day. I sigh softly and kneel down on the dirt covered floor. I pull out a soft pale blue dress and stand up, gently brushing off my knees. I smile softly and slip the dress on over the chemise that I slept in.
Just as I finish tying my corset, I notice that my daughter, Jasmine, is beginning to stir in her bed. I smile softly and slowly make my way over to her. When I reach the bed, I sit down next to her sleeping body, gently brushing her hair out of her eyes.
"Jasmine, baby, it's time to get up. Do you want to come to work with me today, sweetheart?" I ask softly as her baby blue eyes slowly flutter open.
She nods slightly and lets a soft yawn escape from her lips. I laugh softly and get up to count our current food funds, having to factor in at least half of the money going to the purchase of ale for the father of my son. As if on cue, I hear a soft coo from the makeshift cot beside Jasmine's bed. Ever since Edward was born, Jasmine has been a big help around here.
I get up to go check on him and Jasmine comes over with a pale yellow dress, a look of hope in her eyes. "Mommy, I know that this dress is only for special days, but it's been so long since I got to wear it. Can I please wear it today?" I nod slightly and smile as I pick up Edward to feed him.
After he eats and I help Jasmine get dressed, it's time for the three of us to head out. I grab my pouch of coins and smile as we head out the door. "Come on, Jasmine, we have to go get something to eat then head into town so I can go to work. Today is a very special day, after all."
