The small greenette jumped up and wrapped his legs around his big brother, hugging him tightly. The two Midoriya's both had tears pricking at their eyes.

After lots of sobbing and hellos, Zero had put his younger brother down. Izuku smiled the brightest smile Mei had remembered seeing on him ever since Zero had left. And then- "Wait if you're here... doesn't that mean..."

Zero sighed heavily. "Well...". Mei and Izuku's faces blanch.

"Dad is here?" Izuku's voice cracked. Mei narrows her eyes.

Zero hummed, putting his brother down, the two now both in a melancholy mood. The two boys felt a warm squeeze around their bodies.

"It's gonna be okay Zuzu," Mei promised determinedly. "It's... nice to see you Zero" A tear slipped down the young girl's face, a warm smile made on her face.

"Hi Crazy" Zero's voice also cracked. The 3 were childhood best friends despite Zero's age difference. Always together. The three were barely seen without the others.

But when neither Mei or Zero were around... Izuku was... hurt. Tormented by either his bullies or father. Daddy issues, right? The perfect... underdog story. However, the two seemed to be as thick as thieves- until the first day of third grade, that is.

Zero had been taken away from them by Izuku's scumbag father. To train him as a popstar in the Americas . The two brothers could both sing like sirens, in other words? Very, very well. Izuku was really good, if not better than Zero-for god's sake the kid had a music account with 6 million subscribers!

But not many people knew that. He never shows his face on it. The only reason fucking Hisashit picked Zero was beause he had a quirk. The only reason that shit excuse for a father picked Zero was because Izuku had two goddamn toe joints on his pinky toe!

Yeah, none of them were exactly over that.

"...We should get home. Father will be waiting." Izuku groaned.

"You don't have work today? No concert planning? Nothing?" Mei questioned.

"No, Nemuri insisted I didn't work today because it's the first day of school" the greenette replied with a dramatic sigh.

A workaholic as always Zuzu, Hatsume sighed internally, though it was fond. She waved goodbye and wished the two brothers luck.

She didn't exactly think they needed it, but you never know.

Izuku grabbed his house key from his backpack upon arriving at the apartment. The smaller greenette sighed as he opened the door.

"I'm home." He announced, not happily, not sadly, just resigned.

He stepped inside, Zero right behind. Hisa shit turned around from his spot on the couch and stood up.

"Ah Izumi, my lovely daughter," Hisashi said in a rather snarky tone, coupled with a fake smile that spoke of many things. Both Zero and Izuku grimaced at the misgendering and use of his deadname.

The small boy sighed "...Hello father."

Putting on his best fake smile, filled intentionally with hatred and loathing. The two boys walked inside and Izuku put his bag down, heading towards the modest kitchen when they had suddenly noticed it was almost seven.

Izuku smiled slightly as he saw his mother's usual pastel pink colored note on the kitchen counter. The small greenette picked the note up and read it, a warm smile lighting up his face.
